Ch. Death My Alph 4 Death My Alph 4

Chapter 4

Inside the room, Lucy slipped off her military jacket.

She wasn’t wearing much underneath..just a delicate, lacy lingerie set.

William stood right in front of her, his eyes locked on her nearly bare body.

His breath hitched.

Without hesitation, William grabbed her by the waist and laid her down on the bed, leaning

over her.

Lucy gently pushed against his chest and murmured, “Alpha, you’re in such a rush today.

Slow down…”

“There’s no time for games today,” William said, his voice rough. “Caitlin is still waiting for

me.”

Lucy’s body went rigid. She wrapped her arms around him, trying to hold him in place, desperate to keep him from leaving.

When William finally stepped out of the room, the sun had set, and the meeting had long ended.

Buttoning his shirt as he hurried to the meeting room, he found it empty.

“Where’s Luna?” William demanded, grabbing a nearby soldier.

The soldier hesitated. “Luna left not long after you did.”

Unease settled in William’s chest. Something felt wrong.

He called me and softened his tone. “The meeting just ended… Honey, where are you?”

stood by my car and answered coldly. “The driver will drive me back. Is there something

you need?”

William replied quickly, “Don’t leave yet. I have something important to give you. Wait for me in the parking lot.”

He hung up before I could respond.

Minutes later, the lights in the parking lot dimmed. Warriors appeared, holding candles and

flowers.

Leading the group, William knelt before me and opened a red velvet box.

Gasps filled the air as the massive diamond sparkled.

“Alpha is so romantic. What woman wouldn’t want that ring?” someone whispered.

“Our Luna is so lucky,” another added.

But I stayed silent.

William had never noticed that I rarely wore jewelry. Years of hiding my identity in the

military left me cautious. Jewelry was a luxury I never allowed myself.

Still, my heart raced as he slipped the ring onto my finger.

William and I were mates.

We fell in love in college when he wasn’t yet the Alpha’s chosen heir.

He had no wealth, no status, and a shaky future, but I stood by him through it all.

We married under the stars with a ring made from a soda can tab.

Back then, he promised, “One day, I’ll give you the biggest diamond ring.”

I never cared about diamonds. I knew he loved me, and that was enoug

Now, five years later, I was surprised he remembered.

My Alph

Tears welled up in my eyes, and William quickly stood to embrace me.

“Don’t cry, baby,” he whispered. “It breaks my heart to see you sad. I’ll buy you a new one

every year. I promise.”

Obviously, he doesn’t know why I’m in tears yet.

Cheers erupted from the crowd.

Then Lucy spoke up, smiling sweetly.

“Luna, Alpha even asked me for advice about rings. He wanted it to be perfect for you!”

She casually brushed her hair back, revealing a ring that shimmered in the light.

Gasps spread through the group.

Lucy’s ring wasn’t a diamond–it was a moonstone, a sacred gem blessed by the Moon

Goddess.

Legend said it could save the wearer from one fatal attack..

Compared to Lucy’s moonstone, my diamond ring suddenly felt small and meaningless.

Facing the curious eyes of the crowd, Lucy smiled and waved her hand, looking at William with eyes full of love.

“Why are you all looking at my ring? This is something my lover had to buy for me, he’s worried about my safety on the battlefield

Everyone present knew in their hearts that this was given to her by William.

My heart sank.

Sensing the shift in mood, William quickly said, “Honey, do you like moonstones? I thought you’d be safer at home, so…”

“Don’t explain,” I interrupted softly. “I understand.”

Chapter 4

Relieved, William hugged me, unaware of my blank expression.

It didn’t matter anymore.

In two days, I’d be gone.

Just then, a sharp pain tore through my chest. My vision blurred, and I collapsed against William.

“Caitlin! What’s wrong? Caitlin!”

His voice faded as darkness consumed me..

When I woke up the next morning, William was sitting by my bed..

His eyes were red, and he clutched my hand tightly.

“You scared me, honey,” he said. “You were unconscious all night. I couldn’t leave your side.”

I shook my head weakly. “You have work to do. Go handle it.”

But William pulled me closer.

“I’m staying with you today. Nothing else matters.”

I was about to argue when his phone buzzed.

He checked the screen and froze, his face going pale.

At the same time, I received a psychic message.

“I’m waiting in the car downstairs. Guess who he’ll pick .. you or me?”
