“Because I want what Damion has. I want his power, and I

want you.”

“If you could only have one, which one would you choose? Me or power?” She ask

My head snaps to her. “What are you doing?” I whisper to her. She ignores me and keeps looking at the fucker.

“You, but I don’t have to choose. I will have both.”

“No. Its one or the other. Me or power. Decide.” Lee demands.

He frustratedly sighs at her words. I just look at her, begging her to not do what I think she

is. Because just likes she needs me, I need her. She’s apart of me.

“If I let him go you’ll come with me willingly?” Alex clarifies.

“No.”

“Yes.”

She looks at me. “Damion, you’re hurt. You can’t keep fighting, you’ll die.”

A single warm tear falls down my face and she wipes it away with the pad of her thumb.

“Its ok baby. Its my turn to protect you.”

“I can’t be without you.” I cry to her. Begging her to not leave me.

“And I can’t be without you in this world.” Her thumb traces my bottom lip and then she softly smiles. “You are my forever. Don’t ever forget that.”

She looks back to him, “Yes. If you don’t kill Damion or anyone else here, I’ll come with you. I’ll be… yours.”

“I love you to Perseus and back.” I whisper to him before I take his hands off the grass. stained dress that’s on my body.

I force myself to turn around and walk towards Alex’s dad. One foot in front of the other I get farther and farther away from Damion. Each steps hurts a little more.

Finally, I stand in front of him and he grabs my arm to pull me closer to him. My body follows and then I turn around and look at Alex. He smirks and my stomach drops.

“See, I told you I’d have both.” He says before pushing Warren over onto the ground and running at Damion.

My eyes widen as Damion starts to run at him. They both jump and grab each other in mid air.

I look around to see if anyone is going to help Damion, but the fighting is still going on. Neither side is willing to submit to the other.

I fight against Alex’s dad as he keeps me form helping Warren. I stop struggling and watch as Damion punch Alex. Alex retaliates by stabbing Damion with his claws in the stomach. and I let out a small cry when Damion grunts in pain.

They keep going at each other, clawing, punching, and biting until they are both a bloody mess. I can barley watch, but I also can’t look away. Damion was weak before the fight even started, and now he is basically running on fumes. He needs motivation.

I look over and Blake is on top of Alex’s dad. They starts fighting too, but Alex’s dad bites Blake’s side and he goes down. Fear grips my heart as I look at my best friend once again fighting for his life because of this stupid war.

Alex’s dad bends down to get on top of me again and I scream. I cock my elbow towards him and it hits him in the face. He grunts and falls onto the ground. I quickly get on top of him and start punching the shit out of him.

He is the reason Damion’s life is in danger. He is the one who’s been after me. He is the one making me scared to be alone in my own house. I hate him.
