She raised her glass.

“I want to apologize to you. Although you’re trying for a baby, you haven’t succeeded in 3 years, so drinking a little wine shouldn’t matter, right?”

I didn’t look at her or acknowledge her, but she just kept holding the glass.

Robert Hamilton anxiously snatched the wine glass from Jessica Miller.

“You’re pregnant. Why are you drinking? Be careful with the baby in your belly. Liv, she’s apologizing to you. It’s rude not to drink, isn’t it?”

My mother-in-law was about to say something, but was interrupted by Robert Hamilton.

“Mom, you don’t need to think she’s so delicate. As a daughter-in-law of the Hamiltons, she should have some manners. Besides, Jessica is right.”

“Haven’t we been trying for a baby for 3 years without success? Drinking a glass of wine is fine.
What’s there to be nervous about? ”

I didn’t know how Robert Hamilton had the nerve to bring this up.

He made me so angry I was trembling and I had to pinch my thigh to keep myself from losing control.

Anyway, I was leaving today.

I raised my glass and drank it in one gulp.

I slept soundly on the plane.

The plane landed at 7:00 the next day in the US.

After a long embrace, we finally separated reluctantly.

Leo Carter looked me over.

The smile on his face slowly faded, and his nose turned red halfway up.

He cried out of heartache.

“Liv, you’ve gotten so thin after all these years. ”

He pinched my face.

“Let’s go. I’ve invited many friends from college. They’re all waiting for you at my place. ”

I turned on my phone, preparing to let my parents know I had arrived safely.
