His roar left me utterly humiliated in front of a bunch of passengers. 

It seemed I had dropped my documents in his car. 

“Sara Roberts, I’m talking to you! Get back here immediately and bring that wretched wolf with you to see me! I want to see who’s got the nerve to get you pregnant right under my nose!” 

Hearing he wanted to meet the culprit of my pregnancy, I couldn’t help but smile bitterly. 

The stewardess awkwardly reminded me that I should turn off the phone. 

When he heard the stewardess’s words,

Alpha Justin became even more enraged. 

“Sara, are you on a pack plane? Where are you going?” 

I did not know why, but I seemed to detect a hint of panic in his voice. 

“Sara!? Answer me! Who is this wolf? Did you leave with him?” 

He was acting as if I had betrayed his brother. It was so dramatic, that he looked like a great–uncle who was about to catch an adulterer. 

I could not help but wonder if he had really forgotten everything he had done with me, or if, like Joey, he was just a skilled actor. 

Even though I was about to blurt out the questions, I swallowed everything down.

Instead, I said, “No comment!” 

On the other end, Alpha Justin was so angry that his breath labored. 

“You’re not a pup anymore. Haven’t you learned to have any self–respect?” 

“It makes no difference if you don’t tell me. I will make sure to find out who did it. Once I do, I’ll make sure he pays for it!” 

I let out a bitter laugh and with a soft tone, I said, “Justin, thank you for taking care of me for the past five years. I bid you goodbye.” 

Suddenly, the other end of the line went. eerily quiet, and I hung up before blocking his number. 

The pack plane was moving rapidly on the runway, and I knew it was time for me to go.

When I landed, my friend Amy Prescott, who had been waiting for a long time, immediately greeted me, “Sara, didn’t you tell me that your trip to the Prescott Pack had your brother–in–law’s approval?” 

“Don’t you know he’s going crazy looking for you! He even called me. I didn’t reveal your location, but it’s only a matter of time before he finds your flight information. He might. already be on his way here.” 

I just pushed my luggage forward. I actually did not have any guilt for lying about that. 

After all, I did not believe Alpha Justin would come after me to the Prescott Pack. He was only furious because he thought I had humiliated his family by “betraying” his brother.

However, Levi had been dead for five years. Besides, the mate bond that our families arranged when we were pups was never certain to begin with. So, legally, I did not have any connection with the Jones Pack 

anymore. 

“Don’t worry about him, he has his bonding ceremony tomorrow. There’s no way he’d come all this way for me, I explained with confidence. 

The confidence and the loneliness in my voice made my senior worried. “Sara, are you coming here because you’re heartbroken?” 

It seemed the feeling that I thought I had hidden deep inside my heart was visible to everyone else, except for Alpha Justin, who only ever saw me as his little sister. 

Even after that one night when he recklessly

had a one–night stand with me, he still did not think that he did it with me. 

I pressed my lips together and put on a brave face. “I’m not heartbroken. It’s a good thing he’s finally found his true mate. Otherwise, people would keep teasing him about turning his little sister–in–law into his Luna. Now that he’s bonding with his Luna, if I kept staying with the Jones Pack, it wouldn’t be appropriate.” 

Amy sighed tersely and gave me a comforting hug. 

After the reception banquet, I lay in bed and scrolled through my phone. Only then did I realize that Alpha Justin had become a little bit crazy. 

He went so far as to run to the airport and ask the airline to turn the pack planearound

and come back after the Roberts that took me took off. 

To be fair, he had done all of this just a month ago. Back then, he had not only stopped my flight but searched everywhere to find me. 

After he found me, he tried everything to cheer me up and even demanded that I never leave without his permission again. 

After five years of being so close, in that moment, I felt like my hidden feelings had finally caught a glimpse of hope. 

Especially when I found out I was pregnant. I thought it was fate, that I was meant to become a part of the Jones Pack. 

However, it turned out, it was all just my wishful thinking.
