In the past, whenever I was injured and needed stitches, Alpha Justin always acted as if he wished he could take my place. His concern confused me–didn’t he hate and despise me?

Just thinking about being with a rogue wolf like that made me feel nauseous. Worse still, I had seen the rogue send all the compromising photos of us directly to Alpha Justin’s email.

I took a deep, shaky breath and closed my

eyes.

“Justin, thank you for saving my life,” I murmured.

I thought ending the pregnancy and leaving

quietly would be enough to settle things between us, but once again, he saved me.

“Sara, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault…”

“I realized that it was you, not Joey, that night. The pup… it’s my fault. I owe both of you!”

“The rogue who hurt you was hired by Joey. He was a terminally ill wolf, and he’s dead now. But I’ll make Joey pay for what she did,” Alpha Justin said, his voice full of resolve.

When he mentioned the pup, tears began to flow uncontrollably from my eyes.

Seeing me cry made Alpha Justin flustered. He spoke in a rushed, almost panicked tone.

“Sara, it’s my fault. Once you recover, you can yell at me, hit me, do whatever you want. I messed up, but I’ll make it right!”

He then said, “I’m already planning a grand bonding ceremony. I’ll make you my Luna and spend the rest of my life making up for this pain.”

He wanted to make me his Luna, but the love I once had for him had long since died.

Wiping away my tears, I firmly rejected him.

“Alpha Justin, if Levi were still here, I would have been his Luna.”

This left him wide–eyed in shock.

“Sara, are you still mad about me pretending not to know it was you after that night? I really didn’t know it was you. I know I hurt you, but can you forgive me for the sake of our past?” he asked.

“It’s okay. We’re both adults,” I replied.

My indifferent tone left him speechless.

We stared at each other for a long time, and once he realized I didn’t hold a grudge, I saw

“Sara, when I said I wanted to make you my Luna, it wasn’t just because I felt responsible. I finally understand my feelings. I truly like you. I’ve fallen in love with you, and I want to be with you,” he explained, his voice sincere.

This time, I was taken aback.

I knew he was a man driven by responsibility. He had taken care of me for five years out of duty to his brother, but that didn’t mean he loved me.

His interactions with Joey were proof enough of that.

Despite his determination, I couldn’t give him
