Canceling The Wedding With Me and Getting Pregnant With An Adopted Sister - Chapter 08

“Cornell! Are you sick? This is my wedding with Jeremiah. Why are you making a fuss and sending our guests away?”
“I’m not throwing a tantrum. I’m done with you. Do you get it? You said I’m stupid, but what about you? Are you even more stupid than me?”
“Please give me the last bit of dignity in our breakup and get out of my wedding venue right now. I never want to see you again in my life!”
Perhaps he had never seen me so hysterical before, so he was stunned, covering his face.
His voice was hoarse. “But I never agreed to cancel the engagement I just asked you to go back to your family and calm down for a few days. We have been together for so many years, how can we just break up? Hailey, do you have a heart?”
I sneered. “I don’t have a heart? You made Margot pregnant, flirted with her in front of me and wanted me to be a substitute mother for your child. You played me around like a fool and you think you have a heart?”
His eyes turned red as he said, “Margot and I are siblings, not the kind of relationship you think we have. The child was just an accident and it won’t affect our relationship. The person I love is you and that won’t change.”
I sneered in my heart. She said she loved me, but his body honestly liked Margot.
Not wanting to waste any more time talking to him, I turned to the priest and said, “Please continue with the wedding.”
Jeremiah immediately signaled the bodyguard to come forward.
Seeing the two bodyguards approaching, Cornell suddenly rushed over and tried to pull me
away.
“Scumbag, you still refuse to repent!”
Jeremiah finally couldn’t hold it any longer and punched Cornell hard in the face.
Before he could react, Jeremiah kicked him to the ground.
Cornell rolled off the stage in a disheveled state and couldn’t get up for a long time.
The moment the bodyguard dragged him out, he kept looking back at me.
A forced smile on his face was even uglier than crying.
As soon as he was dragged to the church door, he ran into his furious father.
Benjamin raised his hand and slapped him hard, cursing, “Beast!”
He took his son back home and the wedding continued.
When the priest announced that we were husband and wife, Jeremiah hugged me in his arms with joy.
His warm palms pressed against my back and his blazing gaze seemed to burn me into his eyes. “Is it okay?”

Before I could react, his kiss had already landed on my lips.
Unlike usual restraint, his kiss carried the meaning of swearing sovereignty, yet it was gentle enough to make one’s heart tremble.
The guests burst into warm applause and whistles, as if the farce had never happened.
When we were taking a group photo, my mother suddenly leaned over and waved her phone with a bright smile.
“Hailey, I just sent the video of you scolding Cornell to the Leanders‘ relatives and friends group. The brother and sister did such a shameful thing, let’s see how they can hold their heads up in the circle.”
My father laughed heartily and said, “Mr. Leander values their family’s reputation very highly. Now he’s probably going to break his son’s legs.”
I exchanged glances with Jeremiah and smiled.
The photographer pressed the shutter button at this moment and in the photo, everyone’s smile was sincere and bright.
The heartache and sadness that had been weighing on my heart these days finally dissipated.
In the villa of the Leander Family, Cornell was kneeling upright, while Margot was sitting beside him with hunched shoulders, her face pale.
Benjamin swung the stick, which was as thick as his arm and hit Cornell hard on the back.
Once, twice, three times….
Cornell suddenly spewed out a mouthful of blood and fell forward.
Tiffany kept wiping away tears on the side, but she dared not step forward because of her husband’s stern gaze.
