The doctor handed her a black–and–white ultrasound scan Summer stared at it for a long moment before slowly taking it She looked at the image, then at her stomach, still unable to believe it. 

But she and Fraser had already broken up. The thought made her clench her hands tightly, her face growing even paler. This unexpected situation caught her completely off guard. Her mind was a mess, completely at a loss for what to do. 

The baby’s father. Where is he? You’ll need regular checkups, and for safety reasons, you should stay in the hospital for at few days. Have the baby’s father come handle the admission process.” 

Summer bit her lip and asked, “Doctor, can I not keep this baby? 

The doctor finally took a closer look at the woman sitting on the hospital bed.
