“Stop calling me that. It’s inappropriate.” 

“Inappropriate?” Fraser’s lips curled playfully. “Calling you my wife?” 

“You know exactly what I mean!” 

Fraser’s deep voice teased casually, “It’s unfair–I call you my wife, but you’ve never called me husband. Be good, call me husband just once.” 

Summer quickly turned her head toward the window. Luckily, the car had privacy glass; otherwise, she’d probably faint from embarrassment. 

“No way. 

Fraser’s low laughter resonated softly through the car, vibrating gently in Summer’s ears. 

“Fine, fine, if you don’t want to. With a wife this stubborn, all I can do is spoil you. What else can I do?” 

Without noticing, Summer’s lips lifted into a subtle smile. 

The engine roared as Fraser accelerated, and the Lamborghini shot forward. 

Fraser casually asked, “By the way, does your mom dislike me?” 

Summer remembered Julia’s dislike probably stemmed from issues involving her and the Graham family. 

“Do you care?” 

Fraser answered casually, “What does she like?” 

“Are you trying to bribe her?” 

Fraser glanced sideways at her, responding with mock seriousness. “No, I’m only trying to bribe you. Bribing her is just an afterthought. Otherwise, her constant phone calls at night will get annoying.” 

Summer was speechless. 

She noticed the direction they were driving wasn’t Ravenshire Boulevard or her own home. 

“Where are we going?” 

With one hand on the wheel, Fraser reached out with the other, gently caressing her fingertips. “Taking you somewhere fun.”

Summer wasn’t sure how to respond, so she simply remained silent.

Xavier took the lead, reaching the door and kicking it open forcefully. 

Inside the private room- 

Glasses clinked, drinks flowed, and expensive bottles lined the table. Wealthy–looking men lounged casually, each accompanied by attractive women serving them drinks. 

Clearly, it was some sort of business gathering. 

Startled by the sudden noise, everyone fell abruptly silent, staring toward the entrance. 

Fraser wrapped an arm casually around Summer’s waist and walked leisurely inside. 

Summer glanced around briefly, her eyes suddenly stopping on Trevor, who sat on one of the couches. 

She paused momentarily. 

Ever since learning Trevor’s surgery had succeeded and he’d recovered, Summer had completely 

cut contact with him. 

She wasn’t sure if Trevor understood her intention, but at least he’d disappeared from her life since then. 

Trevor’s dark gaze settled heavily on Fraser’s arm wrapped around Summer’s waist, their intimacy causing his eyes to darken further. His hand resting at his side clenched tightly.

Seated in another corner was Philip, whose eyes widened when he spotted Fraser–especially when he saw Summer standing next to him. 

Philip’s face instantly turned pale, as if his heart had plunged into ice water. He hurriedly lowered. his head, trying desperately to hide, wishing he could sink straight into the floor. 

Unfortunately, the woman attending to him spoke up curiously, “Mr. Philip, what’s wrong? Are you feeling sick?” 

Philip snapped quietly, irritated, “Shut up!” 

Xavier let out a contemptuous laugh, stepped forward, and roughly grabbed Philip by the collar. Effortlessly, he lifted Philip off the couch and flung him harshly onto the floor. 

Caught off–guard, Philip slammed heavily onto the ground.
