Looking back one last time at the chaotic living room, Karena lay unconscious on the floor, blood spreading around her forehead. 

Helen, barely alive, half–sat on the couch, her eyes dim and lifeless. 

All the servants and family doctors stood frozen, not daring to move. 

At the front door of the Stewart Mansion, Summer half–jokingly complained to Fraser. 

She knew his temper might cause him to react angrily, but she hadn’t expected him to go this far. 

Fraser took Summer’s hand, and they ascended to the third floor. 

Passing through a long corridor adorned with historic wall paintings from the last century, they stopped in front of the innermost room. 

Fraser opened it, and they stepped inside. 

The room was spacious, decorated in a subdued yet luxurious deep blue. Upon entering, the orderly arrangement of model cars and gleaming trophies caught their eyes.
