Summer slept quietly like a little kitten, and Fraser watched her for a while before leaning down and kissing her forehead gently.

After a while, Fraser carefully lifted the covers. 

He got up and walked out of the room. The gentle look in his eyes slowly faded, replaced by a flecting sharpness..

Helen wasn’t surprised to see Fraser, with a black–framed picture of Maximus resting on her lap. 

Fraser, hand in pocket, looked down at her from his towering height, his gaze deep and somber. “Why did you do these things to Summer?” 

Helen’s voice was hoarse and muddy, “It was Karena.” 

“Heh.” 

Fraser scoffed, his voice notably grim, “Without your permission, she dared to act?” 

Helen had always been the matriarch of the Graham family. 

She had always been high above, respected even by Maximus, never opposed by anyone. And now, her own grandson-

Thinking of this, Helen’s face darkened even more.
