Ch. Chapter 7 Crimes Without Evidence Ch 7

There was a girl who, at the age of sixteen, lost her parents, leaving only her and her sister to fend for themselves.

At that time, her little sister was only five years old. The older sister took care of her with all her heart, and the younger sister always clung to her.

In this cold and cruel world, they were each other’s hope and reason for living, the one person they would protect with their lives.

Only when they were together could they feel the warmth in this world.

Though life was hard, the two of them slowly grew up.

When the older sister turned 20, she fell in love.

The 9-year-old little sister, being playful, got lost by accident. It was that boy who comforted her, protected her, and helped her return to her sister’s side.

That day, the two young people fell in love at first sight.

The boy had no parents and lived alone in the city.

The three young people with tragic pasts gathered together, always having endless topics to discuss.

One day, the boy proposed to the girl. He bought a big diamond ring with his meager savings.

The girl was moved to tears and hugged the boy tightly.

The little sister danced around them, jumping with joy.

“I have a brother-in-law now, I have family again.”

From then on, the three of them lived together.

The boy doted on the little sister as if she were his own daughter, and he truly regarded them both as his everything. Those were the happiest times for the three of them, until that day…

Seven years passed, and the little sister grew up, blossoming into a graceful young woman. Her

naturally golden hair was strikingly beautiful.

She reached school age, and the family’s expenses kept increasing.

The boy and girl found a job with excellent pay, but it required them to travel for two weeks.

The girl was worried about leaving her sister, but her best friend promised emphatically, patting her chest, saying the girl could stay at her place.

The girl was grateful to her best friend and promised to share her earnings when she returned.

As they were leaving, the little sister hugged the girl, her tears soaking through her blouse.

“Come back soon, sis. I’ll miss you.”

The girl embraced her sister tenderly.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be back in two weeks. Wait for me, okay?”

The girl left, looking back to see her sister waving goodbye through tears.

She cried too.

But this would be the last time they saw each other.

The girl and boy returned, having earned a substantial amount of money.

The girl bought many beautiful clothes for her sister and lots of snacks she had never tried before.

She could already picture how happy her sister would be when she saw all these things.

She imagined her sister throwing her arms around her, shouting: “Sis, I love you!” As her thoughts wandered, a smile crept across the girl’s face.

When they arrived at her best friend’s house, her sister was nowhere to be found.

The girl was scared out of her wits, grabbing her friend’s collar and demanding answers.

Her friend suggested that her sister had fallen in love and might have eloped with some guy.

She looked at her friend’s pale face and knew she was lying.

A few days later, her sister’s body was discovered in a landfill.

The once beautiful young woman was now riddled with wounds, her body punctured by dozens of  syringes, swollen into a monstrous shape.

She had been violated before her death.

She had been tortured to death.

Yet just days ago, she had hugged her sister’s arm and whispered, “I want to be with you forever, sis.”

As I recounted this, my voice caught, and I realized I had been crying without even noticing.

The old detective across from me kept his head down, silent.

The female officer taking notes was quietly sobbing.

Later, under the girl’s relentless questioning, her friend finally revealed the truth.

It turned out that after the girl left, her friend had been targeted by the West Side Killer.

He was an incredibly deranged serial rapist and murderer with a particular fixation on blonde girls. At that time, her best friend also had blonde hair, and she was actually the original target of the West Side Killer.

But when the West Side Killer found her, she betrayed the little sister of her best friend to save  herself.

Her blonde hair was dyed, while  the sister’s was natural.

What was originally a gift of  beauty from heaven had now  become a curse.

She brought the West Side Killer  back home and locked her sister in  a room with him.

Her sister was tortured for two  whole hours before dying a horrible death.

Her best friend’s boyfriend was there too, not only failing to help  but joining the psychopath in torturing the poor girl.

The sister died, died in utter despair.

Just hours before her death, she  had been thinking about her big sister.

She was thinking that her big  sister would bring back lots of pretty clothes and delicious snacks for her.

Most importantly, her big sister was coming home, and this time she never wanted to be apart from her again…

Just hours ago, she had been  dreaming sweet dreams.

Hours later, she had fallen into hell.

While being tortured, she must have been calling out her sister’s name.

She would hate her sister for  leaving her alone in hell. Why… why didn’t she come back to save her…

I stopped, unable to catch my breath.

The interrogation room was terrifyingly quiet, with only the sound of faint sobbing.
