Felicia stepped out of the car, her heart hammering as she looked up at Crescent Moon Pack’s packhouse.

It was the same.

The grand stone structure, the large double doors, the rows of guards standing in formation—it was all exactly as she remembered.

Five years.

And yet, nothing had changed.

She clenched her jaw, forcing herself to steady her breath.

This wasn’t her home anymore.

This wasn’t where she belonged.

But it was where her sons needed to be—at least for now.

Before she could process the flood of emotions, she felt small hands slip from her grasp.

“Daddy!”

Danny and Max bolted past her, their little legs carrying them straight toward Damien, who stood at the top of the stairs.

Damien’s face lit up, his usual sharp features softening as he crouched down, arms wide open.

The boys crashed into him, giggling as he lifted them both effortlessly, spinning them around.

“There’s my little warriors!” Damien’s deep voice was filled with warmth, something Felicia had rarely seen before.

Danny grinned. “Daddy, you should’ve seen! Uncle Lucien is going on a mission!”

Max added, “And he let us have ice cream for breakfast one time time!”

Damien arched a brow. “Ice cream for breakfast? Sounds like I need to remind Lucien what proper parenting looks like.”

Felicia rolled her eyes, but a small smile tugged at her lips despite herself.

Damien finally set the boys down, ruffling their hair before turning his attention to her.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

Felicia felt his gaze linger on her, taking her in—like he was seeing a ghost from his past.

She straightened her spine, forcing herself to meet his eyes with a blank expression.

Damien smirked slightly, tilting his head. “Welcome home, Felicia.”

Her stomach twisted. This wasn’t home.

But she didn’t argue.

Instead, she nodded stiffly. “Let’s just get inside.”

The warriors unloaded their bags, and Damien led them upstairs to their rooms.

Everything about the packhouse smelled like him, a mix of cedarwood and spice that made her chest tighten with unwanted memories.

When they reached the third floor, Damien stopped in front of a large, familiar door.

Felicia’s eyes narrowed as he pushed it open.

Inside was a massive bedroom, decorated in dark tones, leather furniture, and a fireplace flickering in the corner.

Her old room.

No.

Not her old room—Damien’s room.

Felicia’s jaw clenched. “I’m not sleeping with you.”

Damien chuckled, leaning against the doorframe, his arms crossed lazily over his chest.

“Relax, sweetheart. I was joking.”

She didn’t find it funny.

Before she could snap at him, Damien stepped aside and pointed to a smaller door at the back.

“That’s your room.”

Felicia hesitated before walking past him and opening the door.

It was simple but comfortable—a queen-sized bed, a wooden dresser, and a small balcony overlooking the training grounds.

Nothing extravagant.

But also—not hers.

This wasn’t her life anymore.

She sighed, dropping her bag onto the bed. “Thanks.”

Damien leaned against the doorframe, watching her with an unreadable expression. “We’ll have a welcome party tonight.”

Felicia snapped her head toward him. “Why?”

Damien smirked. “To welcome my sons back, of course.”

Felicia stared at him. “You don’t have to throw a party for that.”

Damien shrugged, his smirk deepening. “I do when it’s been five years.”

Felicia’s chest tightened.

She opened her mouth to argue, but Danny and Max ran in, bouncing with excitement.

“Mommy! We’re having a party!” Danny grinned.

Max grabbed her hand. “Can we have cake?”

Felicia sighed, forcing a small smile. “We’ll see.”

Damien chuckled. “There’ll be cake.”

Felicia shot him a glare, but he only winked before walking off.

She let out a slow breath.

This was going to be a long night.
