Chapter 21 Talking to Your Boyfriend?
The Sports and Arts Festival was approaching soon, and Juliette had been feeling worried.
As the head of the Department of Sports, she felt immense pressure to deliver impressive results.
However, she had begged the teacher for this position herself, and over the years, she hadn’t achieved any significant sports performance.
If she couldn’t produce results this year, the teacher might remove her from the position. That was why she had been bothering Jamila, hoping she could come up with a solution.
Jamila’s eyes flickered. Direct action was out of the question for her, but manipulating others was another matter entirely.
With a slight curl of her lips, she spoke in a soft, gentle voice.
“Juliette, I have an idea…”
The bell rang, signaling the end of class, and students gradually left the classroom.
Having not attended classes for a long time, Fiorella felt a bit tired.
She used to attend a top–ranking school in her area, but compared to a true elite school, the teaching resources were much poorer. Additionally, having been away from these subjects for so long, she found it difficult to keep up with the coursework.
She was thinking about how to improve her grades when a sudden,

urgent ringtone interrupted her thoughts.
Elite schools weren’t strict about students carrying phones, but Fiorella was extremely flustered.
Her phone was brand new, and it only had her family’s contact numbers saved.
Since she was in class, her family wouldn’t call her, leaving only one possibility–Cameron!
Upon seeing the incoming number, Fiorella’s eyes darkened. She couldn’t ignore the call, so she reluctantly answered, muttering under her breath.
“Hello?”
She cautiously greeted, and after a few seconds of silence, a voice came through.
“Your analysis was very accurate. Our team has made significant breakthroughs by training according to your suggestions.”
He spoke in a business–like manner.
A few days earlier, Fiorella had sent a detailed analysis of Ekaport High School’s Hockey Team’s tactics to Cameron, but he hadn’t replied that day. She hadn’t expected him to call personally to thank her now.
Fiorella felt honored.
“I’m glad I could help.”
The other end merely made a noncommittal “mm–hmm” sound, followed by another brief pause. After several seconds, he spoke slowly, “I will come to thank you in person when I have time.”

The words “come to thank you” made Fiorella’s scalp tingle.
“There’s no need for that. It’s what I should do. I’m at school now, so I
can’t talk for long.”
Fiorella wanted to end the call.
She didn’t want any form of repayment. As long as Cameron stayed away from her, that was all she wanted.
“Then we’ll talk later.”
Hearing that he still wasn’t giving up, Fiorella quickly countered, “It was just a small thing. Honestly, there’s no need for thanks. Sorry, I have to get back to class now.”
She apologized as she prepared to hang up the phone. Just before the call ended, a voice called out, “Hey, Fiorella, talking to your boyfriend?”
“No! Don’t be ridiculous.”
Boyfriend? Hell no! How many lives did she have? What if he
misunderstood and heard it himself?
Luckily, she had already hung up.
But the voice from the last few seconds before the call ended had still
reached the other end.
“It’s fine if you have a boyfriend.”
“He’s not my boyfriend!”
Just from the sound of her voice, one could guess the expression on her
face.

Cameron couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle.
“Boss, you okay?”
The camouflage–clad subordinate beside him asked, “You haven’t slept for three days.”
“I’m fine.”
Unlike the peaceful campus, this place was also quiet but filled with hidden tensions, and no one knew what might happen at any moment.
Cameron couldn’t relax his nerves.
“Boss, why don’t you try to get some rest? The guys outside aren’t that tough. We can hold out a bit longer, finish this off.”

His words were cut short by a sudden, rapid burst of gunfire. Both men tensed instantly, their expressions hardening.
Cameron pressed the bridge of his nose, and after a brief moment of fatigue, his eyes returned to their usual sharpness. He grabbed his coat, his expression serious. “Let’s wrap this up faster. On the next break, I
need to head back for a visit.”
