The familiar headline caught her eye, impossible to ignore. On the webpage was a photo of Fiorella.

Her youthful face bore a shy smile as she held a trophy, surrounded by approving adults.

“Whoa! You actually play hockey? That’s amazing.”

“And it says she won the Hockey National Championships Under–16! That’s a top global hockey event!”

“Wow! Fiorella is seriously impressive! So she’s basically the best in her age group for hockey across the whole country!”

“Looks like we might have a contender for ‘Queen of September‘ this year at the Sports and Arts Festival.”

“Queen of September? What’s that?”

Fiorella had been so consumed by catching up on her studies and dealing with her family situation that she hadn’t paid any attention to school events.

“The principal said that autumn is the season for sports and arts, so we hold the Sports and Arts Festival in September. During those days, we select the most outstanding participants from various competitions. The first–place winner is crowned the Queen of September or Autumn King.”

Miranda explained, “This award is very prestigious. The school invites professionals from various fields to serve as judges. This year’s event is especially significant because the performing arts segment includes a performance for the special forces on holiday. That means the

competition will be incredibly fierce.”

Jacqueline chimed in, “Exactly, Fiorella. You’re so talented in sports. Why not give it a shot? Even if you don’t win, it’s a fantastic chance to get noticed and boost your visibility.”

Fiorella nodded.

It sounded like a good opportunity.
