“I have changed my mind,” I say, resting back on the chair. 

“About what?” she asks confused. 

“About you not being in the next meeting. You will now be joining me.” I smirk.

“Because I am the boss, and what I say goes, Miss Alyssa,” I reply, crossing my arms over my chest. 

She strolls over to me. She places her hand on her hip and cocks her brow, “What are you up to?” 

I shrug, “Me? Nothing.” 

It is a lie. I am up to something, but she won’t find out what until she is sitting next to me.‘ She doesn’t have a chance to say anything else because there is a knock at the door. 

“Can you get that, please?” I ask sweetly. 

She waggles her finger at me, “You are up to something.” 

I don’t react or respond. She huffs, hating, not knowing what my plan is. She answers the door, greeting everyone as they come in and sit around the table. 

“Can I get anyone tea or coffee before you get started?” she asks. 

A couple of people want warm drinks. 

“Sir, would you like anything?” 

“Yes, please, you know what I like. Please, get yourself one too.” 

Twink at her without anyone else noticing. She turns a little red and rushes out to get warm drinks for everyone from the breakroom. I really should get coffee machines in each of the three conference rooms; it would make things easier. 

I make small talk with my clients as we wait for Alyssa to return. She won’t take long. She is a pro with the coffee machine. Since there are only four coffees, including hers, she should manage them in one go. 

This meeting will be as dull as the other. It is the worst part of the job. But, with Alyssa here, then it is going to be a lot more interesting. She will want to kill me by the end of it. She has no one else to blame but herself since she started it.
