Warren froze, as if only just remembering Carissa’s presence. He opened his mouth, about to explain something.

I heard Carissa’s voice sounding calm. 

“I was their friend.” 

With a complex expression, Warren glanced at her after the words fell, but due to Madilyn beside him, he ultimately didn’t say anything more. 

Although others found it strange, they didn’t ask much and greeted her to take a seat together. 

Long–lost friends gathered together after many years, wishing they could chat from the south 

to the north of the world. 

While Warren chatted with friends, he attentively served Madilyn by picking out the cilantro 

she didn’t like, even as he passed her the food. 

And Carissa sat quietly on the side, playing the role of “friend“. 

The party was halfway through when she went to the bathroom. 

When I returned to the door of the private room, I heard a voice coming from inside. 

“Warren, be honest, during the years Madilyn was abroad, did you like any other woman?” 

The private room was silent. 

Everyone was waiting for Warren’s answer. 

Sitting beside him, Madilyn took the initiative to speak up for him. 

“Alright, stop asking already. After all these years abroad, it’s normal for Warren to have liked 

someone else…” 

Although she said so, tears filled her eyes and there was a forced smile on her face. 

Warren’s heart ached when he saw her in such a state. 

Helplessly, he murmured in a low voice, “No, I never liked any other woman.”

around his neck.

had Carissa between us?” 

“Now it’s me who is taking wedding photos with you. We are the real couple, aren’t we? Please 

don’t leave me, okay…” 

Upon hearing these words, Warren’s movement to get up paused, and Madilyn took the opportunity to kiss him directly. 

Carissa pushed open the bedroom door and saw this ambiguous scene. 

She stood still for a moment, then turned around and left the room. 

Anyone would feel uncomfortable seeing their boyfriend kissing another woman.
