Chapter 17 

Ever since Melvin’s confession was Interrupted by Emma who went home, she has been tremblin with fear for several days, afraid of accidentally running Into Melvin. 

Her explanation was, “Melvin confessed his feelings for the for the first time, but it ended in failure. After so many years, I finally had another chatice, but I ruined it again. Now, he probably hates me so much that he wants to strangle me alive!” 

Carissa found it funny when she heard it. 

“How is that possible, Emma? You are his own sister, he wouldn’t get angry.” 

However, Emma’s expression was unusually serious. 

“Carie, you don’t know that after he was rejected by you back then, he locked himself in his room. for three whole days. My dad and mom didn’t speak to each other for ages because of this. joined.

She said, and then she frantically unbuckled her seatbelt, opened the car door, and got out. 

Melvin in the car unconsciously smirked as he watched her figure disappear. 

The evening breeze blew on her face, and Carissa finally calmed down. 

To be honest, she actually didn’t dislike Melvin, and she even felt a slight sense of guilt towards him because of what had happened before. 

But these were not enough to make her accept this new relationship. 

Take it slow, everything went with the flow. 

With this in mind, Carissa’s mood also lightened a bit. 

However, as she stepped out of the elevator, she looked up and saw a figure crouching at the 

entrance.
