Warren did not appear again for the next week. 

Carissa couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. 

She knew that Warren would not be able to distance himself from Madilyn. 

After all, when she was almost killed by Jared, Madilyn only shed a few tears, and Warren tenderly 

comforted her. 

Now that I have already left, just as Madilyn wished, she is even less likely to let Warren off easily. 

Maybe she just cried a few times in grievance, and Warren forgave her, and they lived happily together… 

However, Warren no longer came to bother Carissa. Melvin felt happy for her, but at the same time, he had an inexplicable melancholy in his heart. 

It seemed like he had no excuse to continue picking up and dropping off Carissa for work.

“Let’s go out for dinner tonight. Emma recommended a new restaurant to me, and we can go and taste the food there!”

On the other hand, Carissa couldn’t help but smile when she saw his response. 

A week later, she represented the studio to attend a public press conference. 

On the way, her eyelids kept twitching, and an inexplicable sense of unease lingered in her heart. 

Melvin noticed her strangeness and furrowed his brow as he asked, “What’s wrong? Why does y face look so unpleasant?” 

Carissa fell silent for a moment, then pursed her lips and shook her head.

“If I didn’t feel well, I wouldn’t go to the press conference first. Anyway, it’s not a very important 

event. 

Carissa pulled out a faint smile. 

“It’s nothing, just a little nervous. This is my first time representing the studio in an event, and I don’t want to give up easily.” 

Looking at Melvin’s furrowed brow, she said soothingly. 

“Can I immediately withdraw from the activity if I felt uncomfortable?” 

Upon hearing these words, Melvin finally let out a sigh of relief. 

“Okay, I will be there with you at the scene. Just let me know if you need anything.” 

Carissa responded softly. 

After arriving at the scene, she sat in her seat under the guidance of the staff. 

The meeting proceeded in an orderly manner, and Carissa gradually relaxed. 

The press conference was halfway through when suddenly a disheveled woman rushed in. 

Before everyone could react, she rushed directly in front of Carissa and knelt down with a “thud“. 

“Please, Ms. Solomon, give me back my husband!”
