Millie’s POV

I ran out of the bank, leaving speechless Lindsay behind me. She was only one person wished to right now: my wicked stepmother, Deborah.

I went to family’s house in no time and barged in waiting for invitation. It took me a to locate the vicious woman. I was lucky, my father was also there.

“How could you do me?” I asked as soon as they noticed me.

“What are talking about?” Deborah asked innocently.

“Do play dumber,” actually hissed, ready to rip off her hair.

“Millie, watch your mouth. You speaking your mother.” My dear father said for first time.

“Fresh news, she is not my mother,” I snapped back at him.

“What are you saying?”  My father asked, his tone got colder.

“Is it not my house? Do I need an appointment to visit?” I asked sarcastically.

“Not come here in a state like this, throwing some accusations. What is it this time?” father looked at me coldly, his voice.

It was a new thing me, hurt. Again, he sided with his wife.

“Your dear Deborah stole my money,” I yelled, frustrated.

My father looked at his wife, and she giggled.

“Are you insane? Why would I do it?” Deborah me a questioning look.

“I have no idea, but all transferred to her account,” I said quickly.

“Transferred? And how on earth I be able to do it?” Mother glanced at her husband in disbelief.

“She is right, Millle, how Deborah could do it?” My father offered me a disappointed look.

He did not trust me?

“Are you trying to frame my mother to ruin her marriage?” I found the voice back and turned to see Sandra entering the room.

My ex–partner followed her closely.

“I am sorry?” I was confused. This was ridiculous.

“Oh, you will be sorry.” Sandra offered smirk. “If you frame someone, at least do it right.”

“Is it true, Mille? You did it to humiliate my wife and make her look bad in my eyes?” My father had a shocked expression.

“No!” I was dumbfounded. “She stole my money.”

“Don’t you hear how ridiculous sounds? Leave and stop making a fool of yourself.” He spoke dryly.

I looked back at my father, hoping he would support me, but his were cold.

“I raised you to be better than that.” He spoke without emotions. “Leave my house.”

This moment, I understood that I had not only lost my mother but also my father as well.

This house and family were no longer mine.

I left choking with tears.

When I returned to Gabrielle’s place, was already at but the apartment was not empty.
Michael sitting comfortably on her sofa, watching a smile.

“I owe this displeasure?” I asked, not even trying friendly.

After the encounter with my family, I was completely worn out of emotions.

What an audacity.

Gabrielle’s tilted his head, laughing I thought I had more be here than you, but I guess was wrong.

”What do you want?”

“I want you to out and leave Gabrielle alone. She is not charity you can leech off of.” He glared coldly at me.

I had enough of those stares for today.

“Do I think is any of your concern,” I said, placing my bag on the table.

After it is girlfriend’s well–being at stake here. She is too kind and to you you will burden. That’s why am here.
“How shameless can you be to her your problems? She has enough of her own.” Michael leaned back on the sofa.

“I know, I am looking at one them,” my reply aback.

“What did you say, bitch?” He almost growled, standing up.
“You find a place to stay because I make sure you here for long.” Michael said, coming closer.

“And what are you going to do?” I looked him straight in the eyes.

Are you brave enough to find out? Let me tell you that when I will finish with you, Gabrielle won’t even recognize you.”

I did not lower my gaze, and soon he left.

What was going What did I to deserve all of this?

But was worried about my friendship with Gabrielle.

I could my only friend, and sounded pull any stunt tear us apart.

It looked pushed the I had no move.

Not now.

I sat on and my in the pocket of my coat, I still did not have to take off.

There was something inside.

I pulled it then remembered the piece of paper the on the bench gave me not long ago.

It was a number. I stared at my hands were shaking. I tapped the number on my mobile.

I had nothing to lose.
