Ch. Ch 7 She is the moonlight Ch 7

To avoid Leo the next day, I woke up extra early.

I tiptoed into the male lead’s classroom and saw a familiar figure sitting by the window.

Probably because no one else was around, Lep wasn’t wearing his hat. He was sitting quietly, his head bowed, the oversized school

uniform outlining his thin shoulder blades. His long, slender fingers held a pen, scratching softly against paper. His profile, revealed

beneath his long hair, was pale and delicate, almost glowing in the dim classroom.

As if sensing me, he quickly grabbed his hat and put it on. Then he looked up, his eyes shining at me.

Like… a little puppy finally seeing its owner.

I froze for a second. If he was here, how was I supposed to give Asher his breakfast?

Just as I was about to back away, the light in Leo’s eyes instantly dimmed.

Me: “!”

Fine, fine.

I forced myself to walk in.

Under his heavy gaze, I first handed him his sandwich. Then I quickly turned and walked, stiff–legged, to the male lead Asher’s desk.

My heart started to pound. To leave it, or not to leave it? My plan to woo him had already been delayed for so long.

Ah, what the hell.

I gritted my teeth and tossed the second sandwich into Asher’s desk.

But my wrist was seized again.

I looked up.

And met Leo’s confused, bewildered gaze.

“Why… are you giving it to him?”

“That’s Asher’s desk.”

Of course, I knew it was Asher’s desk. I was giving it to him.

You little… why are you the one who looks heartbroken?

I forced a laugh. “Haha, I made an extra one today. Just randomly picked a lucky winner.”

The moment the words were out, I realized my mistake. If that was the case, how could I give him one tomorrow? What if this kid was here again?

1 quickly changed my story. “Oh, right! My crepes are so famous in our class now. Asher asked me to bring him one. He paid me.”

Leo frowned, as if carefully considering this. “Really?”

“Really.” 1 pretended to be casual and patted his shoulder. “Are you hungry? Go on, eat. Oh, and did your teacher’s investigation have any results?”

Leo was successfully distracted. “It did. They apologized to me. Thank you.”

“Good, good.”

I was about to make my escape when a flash of red appeared before my eyes.

I froze.

It was a single, beautifully wrapped rose. Vibrant, fresh, still dewy, in perfect bloom.

“For you. And… thank you.” Leo held it out, his gaze intense. There was no shyness in his expression or posture, as if this was the

most natural thing in the world.

2 2 2 2

But my mind was in chaos.

No. How did things turn out like this?

The comments chimed in, adding to the chaos.

“He already knows how to give roses at such a young age.”

“The villain is already head over heels, isn’t he?”

“Just take it, side character. He worked a whole night for free at the flower shop for that. He even picked the most expensive kind.

He ripped it out of a pre–made bouquet, insisting it was the freshest, most beautiful one in the whole shop. The owner was so mad

his face turned green.”

PIE SO

Worked a whole night.

Didn’t take a single penny.

Just to get me a single rose?

I stared at the flower Leo considered the “freshest and most beautiful in the whole shop.”

My heart felt like it had been gently scratched by a kitten’s paw.
