Ch. Ch 10 She is the moonlight Ch 10

During the last period before school ended, I was waiting for the bell to ring so I could go meet him.

But then the comments told me that Leo had a fever today. He had forced himself to come to school just to bring me a flower. He

couldn’t hold on in the afternoon and had taken leave to go home and rest.

But coincidentally, Leo’s alcoholic, abusive father was coming home today. With Leo weak from the fever and unable to fight back,

he would be beaten half to death and left on the floor with no one to care for him. This would only deepen his hatred and despair.

The next day, when he was feeling a little better, he would be beaten again. He would grab the knife he had hidden under his pillow and unhesitatingly stab his father. But he wouldn’t kill him. His father would have him sent to jail for a while. And he would miss

the final exams.

When I saw the plot unfold in the comments, I nearly jumped out of my skin.

Yes.

The overwhelmingly righteous Holly Miller was, once again, uncontrollably online.

I didn’t even wait for the bell. I threw down my pen and ran to find Leo.

Thankfully, I found him on the way.

“Leo!” I shouted, panting, at the weak, swaying figure.

The boy’s back stiffened for a moment. He seemed to be in disbelief. But the next second, he started walking forward again, slow-

  1. ly.

The comments popped up.

“Hahaha, the villain probably thinks his fever is making him hallucinate. He thinks he heard his wife’s voice.”

“Villain: I must be imagining things. My wife is in class. How could she possibly be here?”

Frustrated, I yelled again. “Leo!”

This time, he heard me clearly and spun around. His eyes, under the brim of his cap, were as bright as if they’d been washed with

water.

I ran over to him, bent over with my hands on my knees, and gasped for a few breaths.

Then I looked up.

“Haha, um, I heard from a classmate that you’re sick and there’s no one to take care of you at home. So… how about you come to

my place?”

I thought that might have been too abrupt, so I added, “Oh, and my mom found out you like my crepes. She’s invented a few new

flavors and wanted to invite you to try them. Is that okay?”

The person in front of me seemed to be frozen, not moving an inch.

i nervously tugged on Leo’s sleeve. “Come on, come back with me, okay?”

The comments floated past my eyes.

“Haha, the villain has crashed. It’s like he just won the lottery. He can understand each word, but together, they don’t make any sen-

se.”

“Is that really his wife talking?”

“Is his wife really inviting him to her house?”

“That’s it. In the villain’s ears, the side character is probably inviting him home to meet the parents.”

After a long moment, Leo’s dazed eyes finally moved, landing on my face.

“Okay,” he said.
