High school coursework was incredibly heavy and I still needed to spare some time to tutor my brother. As there was hardly any interaction with my dad, I couldn’t skip class to follow him, so the progress was hard. 

Therefore, I decided to keep my attention on Lucy. 

We were both in the best high school in the city. I had been admitted based on my grades, placed in a top–class while she had used money to secure the same spot in my class. Every day, she dressed like a little princess, head to toe in designer brands, showing off unapologetically, 

She was always flaunting her designer bags or her designer jewelry. 

As for grades, she looked down upon them, saying she is rich and after graduating high school, she would go abroad to study and come back to take over the family business. Studying 

That was for the poor. 

I was that poor person who took studies seriously. 

Apart from constant studying, I also kept an eye on her. 

Through my observation, I made some intriguing discoveries. 

With her obtrusive personality, outside of forming cliques to bully classmates, engaging in puppy love, going to bars, and clubbing, she secretly met a woman. 

At just one glance, I knew – she was Lucy’s biological mother. 

They looked so alike. 

A little while later, my dad’s car appeared in my line of sight. Clearly, he purposefully came to pick them up. 

This means Lucy knew the truth all along, thereby giving her the audacity. 

Furthermore, Lucy was only a few months younger than me, meaning Lucy was born as a result of an extramarital affair my father had while my mother was pregnant.
