Unforgivable

The knife stabs my right palm, and Miranda smiles. She pulls out the knife. I try to roll away.

“Oh? You can still move?”

The guards hold me down again. The knife goes into my leg.

“Chelsea, I hate how you act. I am better than you!”

“And now you are pretending to be a Jones? You think that because you share a last name with my dad, and that your mom died like mine, you can be me? I can kill you, and no one would care.”

The pain makes me almost pass out, but I can hear what she says.

“Let her go! I want to see her beg for mercy!”

The guards let me go. I crawl to the door, leaving blood behind. Miranda laughs behind me.

“Hahahahahahaha Chelsea, look at you!”

My heels came off from the party. The knife cuts my foot, and I can’t move anymore. The door breaks open, and someone screams.

“What are you doing?!”

I see someone run to me. Scott’s brother, Andrew. I don’t know much about Andrew. I just know that he is Scott’s brother, and he is the CEO of the company.

Andrew loves to work. Last time, Andrew never got married and just worked to build the company.

The reason why I asked to marry Andrew is because of this. Since I have to get married, I might as well marry Andrew instead of Scott.

At least, Andrew will not use my daughter to kill another person. But for some reason, I feel calm seeing Andrew. I pass out.

I wake up in the hospital. My face is patched up, and my hands and feet are wrapped. My dad’s assistant, Lee, is next to me.

“You woke up. You got stabbed but it didn’t hit the bone. You just need to rest. As for the cut on your face, I have contacted the best doctor. We will go to get it taken care of so that you don’t have a scar.”

Lee sees that I am trying to look around.

“They have been taken by the police. Don’t worry.”

“Your dad had a meeting and will be here soon. Please call him. He is worried about you.”

He picks up the phone. I can hear his angry voice.

“Who hurt you?! I will not let them live after touching my daughter.”

Lee said that they got arrested, so they will get in trouble. And since I am marrying Andrew, I will be the sister–in–law of the Scott family.

I don’t want to cause too much trouble.

“Lee said everything is handled. By the way, did you tell them I want to marry Andrew?”

He doesn’t say anything but is still angry.

“I have talked to their grandad about the marriage. And the party is canceled.”

“As for what happened, don’t think of keeping it from me. I will look for it myself even if you don’t tell me. They hurt your hands and legs, and I will do the same!”

I want to ask about Miranda, but he hangs up. I keep thinking about Miranda and her telling me that she can kill me. What makes her think that?
