I’m Frederic. 

I came to Aetheria for business. 

Because of my position, many people tried to use me to climb the social ladder. 

Kendrick, the well–known playboy in Aetheria, made several attempts to connect with me. 

I ignored him. 

He didn’t have the leverage to make me take notice. 

That was until I fell in love with Kristine at first sight. 

They say love at first sight is always based on looks. 

I admit I was attracted to her physically. 

I couldn’t wait to make her mine, to have her as my wife. 

To be honest, the Haywood family is a top–tier family, and I’ve seen all kinds of women. 

But after seeing Kristine, I found myself losing sleep for the first time in my life.

Just when I was about to make my move, my assistant told me she was Kendrick’s fiancée. 

I was shocked. 

I was frustrated. I loosened my tie and had my assistant arrange 

a party. 

At the party, I saw Kristine again. 

She had the polite, perfect smile typical of a high–society lady, holding Kendrick’s hand, looking happy. 

But I saw the exhaustion in her eyes. 

She didn’t seem as happy as the media in Aetheria had portrayed her. 

Kendrick, holding a wine glass, joked about trying to be friendly with me. 

I stared intently at Kristine, standing just behind him, lost in thought. 

When Kendrick awkwardly tried to change the topic, I responded with a smile. 

I knew that was the only way to get close to Kristine. 

I had to make a friend of Kendrick. 

Kendrick and I exchanged pleasantries, but all I cared about was

But just when I had almost given up, I found out she had called off the wedding! 

I was ecstatic. I contacted Ophelia immediately and rushed to Celadonia overnight. 

I realized it was time for me to make a move in love!
