“He’s missing?” 

Officer Peters nods. 

She looks down and then her gaze slowly looks up to me. 

“I am going to need you to come down to the station Lee.” 

“No. She wasn’t the last person to see him, I was.” 

“You?” 

“Yes.” 

“Now, I don’t mean to assume anything but everyone I have talked to said he went into the bathroom at last nights victory party to see Lee and nobody ever saw him again.”

I look down at her to ask permission to tell him and she nods. 

I pull her closer so that she can keep me calm while I say it, “I went into the bathroom with 

Lee, I got a phone call and stepped out of the party to take it. When I was done I heard Lee screaming from the bathroom. I ran in and saw Jared with his dick out trying to rape my girlfriend. Blake carried her out and I punched Jared till he passed out. Thats what happened.” 

He looks shocked. 

“J–Jared did that to you?” He asks her. 

She nods and pulls up my shirt a little to show him the bruise on her thigh. 

“Well, this certainly changes things. Damion I need you to come down to the station.” He 

says. 

“No, for what? He didn’t do anything he was with me the whole night.” 

“I’m sorry Lee, but right now he is the last one to see Jared. We need to talk to him.” 

Sh goes to argue, but I gently pull her face to look at me. Her eyes are tearing up. 

“Sweetheart, I need you to call my dad. Can you do that for me?” 

She quickly nods as a tear slips down her cheek. I wipe it away and kiss her. 

“Call my dad, I’ll see you soon, sweetheart.” 

She nods a little and I walk out of the house as Officer peters follows. 

I get in the back of the police car and he drives me to the police station. 

Lee’s POV:

What the actual fuck just happened? 

Tam staring at the door with tears running down my face. 

After I snap myself out of my trace, I run and grab my phone from my room. I tap on Mr. Cruz number and listen to it ring 

“Hello? Lee, is everything ok?” 

U ummm, no. Officer Peters just came and took Damion down to the station because Jared is missing. He told me to call you.” I said while trying my hardest to keep my voice form cracking. 

“I’ll pick you up in ten minutes.” He says before he hangs up. 

I throw my phone on my bed and grab a pair of black jeans shorts, a bra, underwear, and a white tank top. I cover the hickeys and bruise with concealer and foundation the best I can. I put my hair in a low ponytail and grab Damion’s light grey sweatshirt. When I am done 

there is a knock on the door. 

I open it and there is Mr. Cruz. He doesn’t look sad or worried, he looks calm. 

“Lets go get him.” 

I close and lock the front door, then follow him to his truck, “How?” 

“My lawyer is on his way to the police station now, Damion knows to not say anything.” 

I nod and get in the back seat. 

“Hi, Lee.” Mrs. Cruz turns to me with a sad look on her face. 

I look at myself through the rear view mirror and my eyes are red and puffy. 

“We’ll get him back ok.”

I nod and hope shes right. 

About eight minutes later we are parking at SVPD. We all get out, as we do I see Max, Warren, and Blake waiting in front of the building for us. 

I run to Blake and hug him. 

We stay like this for a while until he pulls away. He looks at me with a sad look, “How are 

you?” 

“That is a stupid fucking question. Last night Jared fucking Thompson who I thought was my friend tried to rape me, and today my… my… I don’t even know what we are just got escorted down to the police station because he is a suspect in Jared disappearance.” I say 

while my eyes tear up. 

“Jared tried to rape you?!” Mrs. Cruz yells. 

I look back at her and realize what I just said, “U–uh…” 

Mr. Cruz sneers, “I always hated that kid.” 

Everyone goes quiet. 

I let out a breath, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to be a bitch.” I say to Blake, 

“Its ok. You are scared that understandable.”
