“So, where are we going?” 

“I am taking you on your ideal first date.” He said while still looking at the road. 

“Okkk, and what’s that.” I ask. 

He laughs, “When we were in fifth grade I had Blake ask you what your ideal first date was. You said you wanted to go to Franky’s and share a cookies and cream milkshake while eating your usual burger and fries. Then, you wanted to go swimming in the Sunny Pond 

and look at the stars.” 

My jaw was practically on the floor, “You remembered that all this time?” I asked. 

“Of course. I was hoping that one day you would come back and I could take you on that date, unless you want to do something else, or you did it with someone els” He starts 

rambling. 

I cut him off, “I love it, aaand I definitely haven’t done that with anyone else.” 

He looks at me with a relieved expression, “Good.” 

We smile at each other and he looks back to the road. I put my hand under his and clasp our fingers together. He caresses my hand with his thumb. I notice its time for him to switch gears, so I go to let go of his hand, but he grabs in as switches while holding my hand. I shyly smile and look out the window. 

When we pull up to Franky’s he turns off the truck and gives me a kiss on the cheek before starting to get out. Just before he jumps down, he looks back at me. 

“Don’t you dare open that door.” 

He shuts the door and I laugh. I see him walk around the truck and open it for me. I give him a smile and he grabs my waist and lifts me out of the truck as I yelp. Then, he puts me down, shuts the door, and hold my hand as we walk in.

There are a lot of kids here, and a few families. Damion finds us a booth by the window on the left side. I sit down on one side and sits down on the other. As soon as he does he 

frowns. 

“What’s wrong?” I ask worriedly. 

“I don’t like this.” He says before he gets up and sits by me. 

I laugh and he grumbles, “You were too far away.” 

“Better?” I ask. 

“Better.” He says while putting him arm around 

“Well its about damn time.” I hear Franky say.

He walks over to us, “You know I have been waitin‘ for you two to get together since you were kids.” 

I laugh and look at Damion who has a very small smile on. 

“Patricia, look they’re finally together!” He yells to Pat, an older woman who has been waitressing her since before I was born. 

She comes over with the same smile as Franky, “Well thank the good Lord, he finally asked you out, and you finally stopped bein‘ blind and realized he liked you.” 

I sigh, “Did everyone know?” 

“Yes.” 

“Yes.” 

“Yes.” 

“Yes.”

Franky, Pat, and Mr. and Mrs. Phillips who were in the booth in front of us all say at the 

same time. 

I groan, “How did I not know?” 

“You are oblivious sweetheart, but that’s ok. I still like you.” Damion says while pulling me closer and giving me another kiss on the cheek. 

They all, “Awwww.” At us. 

I put my face into Damion’s chest because of how shy I feel all of a sudden. I hear them all.

“You know I always thought you two were goin‘ to get married.” Mrs. Phillips says to us.

“Like cinnamon and sugar.” Pat chimes in. 

“Ok, ok I think they get it. We want them together, but if we keep pressurin‘ them it may not happen.” Franky thankfully says. 

They all sigh and say fine while going on about their day. 

“Now, what can I get for you?” Franky says. 

“Two of my favorite, and one cookies and cream milkshake with two straws.” I say with a 

smile. 

He tells me it will be out shorty. 

“Thanks.” Damion says. 

“For what?” 

“For ordering. I know I’m supposed to, but I just…”

“Here you two love birds go.” Pat says while putting the milkshake with two blue straws 

down. 

“Thank you, Pat.” 

“Of course hun.” She say before walking away. 

I swipe a little bit of whipped cream off the top and suck it off my finger with a moan because of how good it tastes. I feel Damion looking at me, so I look over to him with my finger still in my mouth. 

I take it out, “What?” 

“I want some.” He says with dark eyes. 

I bite back a smile and get a little more whip cream on the same finger. Then, I bring it to his mouth. He gently grabs my hand and puts the whipped cream finger in his mouth. He swirls his tongue and my lips part. His mouth even feels good on my finger, and my pu-
