“Aunty, Mia had a miscarriage b–but…I am pregnant with Xavier’s child.”

I never asked you to cheat on your wife, don’t throw all the responsibility upon me! Your grandmother has left the pack already and the neighbouring packs have withdrawn alliances, do you want us to be completely destroyed by rogues?! 

Xavier gritted his teeth and bared his teeth at his mother, they looked more like

No matter what, he must take responsibility for the unborn child. 

Outside the hospital, Xavier collapsed onto a bench, his head in his hands. He had lost me. This time, there was no coming back.
