I turned around to see Alexander and several other guests standing there, utterly stunned.

Scarlett rushed to Chloe, who was writhing on the floor, her shrieks of panic filling the air.

“Oh my god, how did this happen?” she cried.

Alexander snapped back to reality and rushed over to check on her, his face going pale.

When he looked up, his eyes were barely holding back a storm of fury.

“Olivia, explain yourself! What happened?!” he demanded.

Chloe quickly started to speak, her eyes filling with tears.

“Uncle, don’t be angry. I accidentally offended Mrs. Wood first…”

She fumbled with the photo she had been clutching, pulling it out and showing it to Alexander.

His expression darkened in an instant, and he slapped the photo into my face with a sharp “smack,” his fist clenching in anger.

“Olivia, who is this man?!”

I froze for a second, recognizing the man in the photo.

Looking at Alexander’s furious face, Chloe’s smug expression, and the onlookers around us, I let out a cold laugh.

“Who he is doesn’t concern you.”

“Her fall has nothing to do with me.”

“And if you really care about her so much, why don’t you marry her right here and now?”

In a flash, Alexander’s veins popped as he slapped me across the face with a force that made my head snap.

“Have you lost your mind? Do you know what you’re saying?!”

His voice was laced with disgust.

“Your behavior tonight is disappointing. You’re not worthy of the title of Mrs. Morgan!”

I touched my cheek, feeling the pain spread across my face, but inside, I felt completely numb, my heart empty.

“Then let’s get a divorce,” I said, my voice cold and firm.

His breath caught in shock.

“What… did you say?”

I wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth, stared directly at him, and spoke each word clearly,

“Alexander, I want a divorce.”
