Unforgivable - Chapter 6
My dad notices me after saying those words. I am all covered in blood and my hair is all over the place.
My dad doesn’t know what to do.
“Who gave you the balls?!”
My dad is furious. He wants to know. I shake and lift my arms up to fix the wrinkle on my dad’s face.
Andrew runs out behind my dad and looks at me with pity.
“Sorry, Chelsea, it is my fault. I could not protect you.”
“It’s fine. I have already told everything to Jones. Nobody is going to hurt you.”
I try to smile after looking at my dad’s face and Andrew’s head wound.
“It is fine…”
I want to say something, but I can’t stop my mouth from spitting blood. Scott can’t believe it and staggers two steps back.
“Impossible… Impossible… How can you be…”
He looks at Pam who is as pale as a ghost.
“Pam, what is this?! You are my dad’s daughter. What is going on?! You wouldn’t be tricking me right?”
Pam does not respond but takes steps back. It looks like she wants to run. My dad sees her move, then tells the guards.
“Someone grab her! Scott and the driver too! Catch them all!”
I feel relieved after hearing my dad. I close my eyes and pass out. I wake up in Jones‘ private hospital in the suite.
My dad has dark circles under his eyes. My dad’s eyes are teary when I wake up.
“Chelsea, my Chelsea. How did it become this? Does it hurt? Are you hungry? It is my fault. I should not have done this.”
I am shocked. Since my mom has died, my dad is like the CEO who does everything swiftly. I have never seen him tear up like this.
I lift my left hand to hold my dad’s hand.
“It is not your fault. You have been protecting me.”
My dad starts to cry harder and gets chocked up.
“I thought… I thought hiding your identity would be the best way to protect you. I did not think that they were going to use it. It is my fault.”
I think back to Pam and Scott.
“Dad, where are they? I want to see them.”
My dad personally drives me to the old factory by the city. The area looks old, but the inside is very different.
The Jones family uses this as a place for secret events.
As I go inside, I see Pam and Scott. The driver is shaking in the corner. They look old and have scars. When Scott sees my wheelchair, he starts to talk.
“Chelsea, what is this?”
