He ran downstairs. He told the bodyguard. 

“If your miss wants her stuff, she can get it 

herself.” 

“This is my house. You can’t come in.” 

He started acting like a CEO to scare them. 

The bodyguard looked at each other and 

called me. 

Connor thought he could see me.

But he heard. 

“Mr. Connor, miss said, she doesn’t want the 

stuff anymore. You can throw it away.” 

Then, they left. 

Connor stood there for a long time. 

Willow came out and gave him a coat. 

“Uncle Connor, what are you doing? That 

woman betrayed you. She is not worth it.” 

“You have me.” 

Willow touched his face. 

Connor pushed her away.

“Willow.” 

He called her name for the first time. 

“I’m just your uncle. Don’t think otherwise.” 

“If you do, I will send you overseas. I will have 

people take care of you.” 

“Uncle Connor!” 

Willow couldn’t believe it. 

Why would he not want to be with her even 

though I was marrying someone else? 

“Connor!” 

She blocked him from leaving.

“Don’t you love me? If you don’t, why are you 

good to me? Why?” 

“I promised your father that I would!” 

He said seriously. 

“I don’t have romantic feelings for you.” 

“I only love Grace.” 

“You should go overseas.” 

He was going to send her overseas. 

Willow cried. She tried to cut her wrist. 

Connor grabbed the knife. The tip stabbed 

through his hand.

Willow was scared. 

“I don’t owe you anything anymore.” 

Connor was given help to fight for his family’s 

wealth. 

Mr. Willow passed. He left Willow all alone. 

Connor wanted to pay him back. 

But he was dumb. 

He did not balance the relationships between 

the girls. 

He failed to do anything. 

He injured his hand.

He shut himself off from Willow. 

He sent Willow overseas. 

He checked out from the hospital in less than 

a day. 

My wedding was starting. 

He got past all the security and went to the 

main stage. 

I was swapping rings with Jake. 

His actions stopped the process. 

Jake was calm. He helped me put on the ring. 

He put on his ring.

His actions snapped me out of my thoughts. 

He comforted me. 

He talked to everyone. 

“Thank you for coming to me and Grace’s 

wedding.” 

“We are married now.” 

“I have known Grace for a long time, but we 

never said how we felt. We lost a lot of time.” 

“I want to thank my wife for marrying me.” 

He put down the mic and kissed me. 

I was shaking. But he calmed me down.

I asked him to help me.

Connor watched us. 

He looked scared.
