“You mean when at eleven o’clock at night you jumped don’t of bed, locked me in my bathroom, and came back covered in dirt. Yeah, I’ve noticed some weird stuff. What’s this about?” 

“That day I came to see you at the library I was acting a little different.” 

“Yeah, I know. You we’re acting weird the whole day. So were the guys so I thought it was just guy stuff.” 

“You could say that.” Warren says with a snort. 

Kasey smacks the back of his head and says, “Shut up. This is important.” 

I furrow my brow and then Damion speaks, “Have you ever seen my eyes glow?” He suddenly asks. 

1 snap my head back to him and stare at him with wide eyes. I thought I was imagining that this whole time. 

“What?” I ask making sure I heard him right. 

“My eyes. They glow sometimes.” 

I stare back at him for a moment, “You have three seconds to tell me what the hell 

happened tonight and what you’re talking about before I walk out that door.” I say

I wait and he says nothing. I grab my purse and get up. While I am walking towards the front door I silently pray he stops me and tells me what’s happening. My hand grabs the door handle and Damion says, “I’m a werewolf.”

Everyone just stares at us waiting to see what’s going to happen next.

“Hmmm ok.” I say before turning around to open the door. 

I try to leave, but my foot doesn’t even make it halfway out the door before I am pulled back. The door slams shut and Damion is standing in front of me with his arms caging me 

“What the hell! How did you get over here so fast?” 

“I already told you how.” 

“You expect me to believe you’re a werewolf?” 

“Look, just sit down and watch.” I hesitate, but give him the benefit of the doubt and nod. 

He leads me to where I was sitting and then takes a few steps back once I sit down. I look up at him with a bored expression ready to absolutely rip this man apart for the dumbfuckery. 

Luca chimes in now, “Don’t freak out.” 

I roll my eyes, “Well that’s encouraging.” Luca just rolls his eyes right back. 

“You are freaking her out now.” Damion says to Luca. 

“Well I wouldn’t have to freak her out if you hadn’t started dating my sister.” 

“You act like I can control that. You know what she us to me.” Damion shoots back. 

I am getting irritated by the fact that I have no idea what’s going on. “Can we get back to the 

task at hand so I can beat the fuck out of Damion.” I say angrily. 

Everyone shuts up and I turn back to Damion. He close his eyes and then opens them. When he does they glow bright blue, like I have seen so many times before.

My lips part in shock as I try and process what I am seeing. A few moments pass and I get 

up and walk over to him. My hands goes to his cheek and my thumb softly grazes under his eye. His glowing blue eyes illuminate my face in the dim living room. 

I am still looking up at his eyes when teeth slowly grow into fangs. My eyes widen and I 

stumble back. 

He lays his hands in front of himself and I watch as his nails grow into razor sharp claws. 

Nobody moves. Nobody makes a sound. 

I look up at him with tears eyes and suddenly his glowing eyes are gone and so are his fangs and claws. “I’m still me. I’m still Damion.” He says with fear filled eyes that are 

begging me to say something. 

He is scared I won’t except him, but that’s not why I’m crying. 

“Promise me you will never keep secrets from me… Promise me. You will never keep secrets 

from me. That was the one thing I asked of you.” I say quietly as tears uncontrollably 

stream down my face. 

“No. Lee, please.” He says as tears fill his eyes. He takes a few steps towards me, but my 

hand comes out in front of me and stops him. 

“You broke your promise.” I mumble sadly. 

“Baby. Don’t do this.” He begs. 

The sight of him begging me to stay might break my heart… if he hadn’t first. 

“We’re done.” I say quietly before grabbing my purse and keys and quickly walking out of 

the house. 

Damion’s POV: 

The scent of a rogue fills my nose making me jump from Lee’s arms. 

I walk over to the side doors to go take care of the problem. My mind is only focused on
