Chapter 370 The Pack That Believed Them
Alpha Damian POV
The news reached Dartwood before lunch. One of the packs that had recently accepted F-Tech’s security proposal had withdrawn from the agreement, citing concerns about the alleged weapons transfers.
I read their statement twice, then pushed my tablet across the desk. “They believed a forged document. without even asking Flourish for an explanation.”
My Beta picked it up and read it himself. “They say it’s temporary. Their council wants an independent review before making a final decision.”
“They could have asked for a review without distancing themselves from F-Tech.”
“They’re afraid of being dragged into a conflict they don’t understand.”
I walked to the window. My wolf had been restless since the broadcasts began. F-Tech had spent months helping packs protect their people, and now those same people were backing away from Flourish.
“Find out which Alphas are spreading these accusations. I want their statements, their affiliations, and anything connecting them to the Eastern Army.”
“We shouldn’t assume they’re working together without proof.”
“I’m not inventing a connection. I want to know whether one exists.”
He nodded and left to give the orders.
I called Flourish. She answered from her office at F/Tech, reports and printed broadcasts piled on the desk behind her.
“Have you seen the withdrawal statement?”
“Rhys sent it to me.”
“And you’re letting them get away with it?”
“What exactly do you want me to do, Damian?”
“Respond publicly. Name the pack and say they abandoned an agreement over fabricated evidence. If we stay quiet, other Alphas will think the accusations are true.”
“Or they’ll see us attacking a pack that asked for time to investigate.”
“They distanced themselves from your company in public.”
“Because they’re worried about their people. I don’t like their decision, but I understand it.”
I paced, my claws pressing against my fingertips. “They had the same information as everyone else. They could have contacted you first.”

“And they still can. I won’t punish them for being cautious.”
“That’s not what I’m suggesting.”

“You want to answer their announcement with one of our own, and I know where that leads. They defend themselves, we defend F-Tech, and this becomes a public fight between packs instead of an investigation into who forged those documents.”
I let out a breath. She had a point, which only made it harder to swallow. I wanted the people responsible exposed, but a public feud could make everything worse.
“So what’s your plan?”
“Release what Rhys has verified. The procurement records show the transactions never happened, and the document analysis confirms the forgeries were built from stolen Tech templates.”
“That proves the documents are fake. It doesn’t prove who made them.”
“Exactly. We state what we can prove and leave the investigation open. I’m not accusing anyone without evidence.”
́I dragged a hand over my face. “And if they ignore it?”
“Then they’ll have to explain why.”
It left no room for the response I wanted to make, and I couldn’t call her wrong. “Send me the statement before you publish.”
“I will. But I’m not naming the pack or making this personal.”
“Fine.
She gave me a look that said she didn’t believe me, then ended the call.
Over the next hour, my Beta brought me what he had found. Several Alphas had repeated the broadcasts, but none had produced evidence of their own.
Others had asked their councils to investigate first. The withdrawing pack had never accused Flourish of ordering weapons transfers, though its statement implied the allegations were serious enough to suspend cooperation.
I couldn’t force anyone to keep an agreement, and I wouldn’t use Dartwood’s strength to pressure them.
“Nothing connects the withdrawing pack to the Eastern Army,” he said. “Their council got the documents through a regional communications channel, and several other packs received copies the same way.”
“Can we trace who uploaded them?”
“Not yet. Rhys is working on it from F-Tech’s side.”
“I want the original transmission, not a list of people who forwarded it.”
That afternoon Flourish sent me the statement. It covered the procurement findings, the comparison

with the stolen templates, and confirmation that no matching transactions existed.
It exposed nothing restricted and accused no one.
I read it carefully, then replied.
“Publish it.”
Minutes later, F-Tech released it. Rhys opened the supporting evidence for authorized review so concerned packs could check the records themselves.

The first responses trickled in. Some questioned the findings Others asked how to verify them. The withdrawing pack said nothing.
I wanted faster results. When I called her again, she was already arranging reviews with the packs that had asked.
“This won’t convince everyone.”
“I know.”
“Some of them will keep repeating the accusations.”
“Then we keep documenting the truth.”
I leaned back in my chair. I still wanted to find, the people responsible, but Flourish had chosen evidence over threats, and I would stand beside her instead of making her fight a second battle against my temper.
The forged documents were out in the open now, and anyone willing to look could see what they were. Whoever made them had to know that too.
They had spent months building this lie. They wouldn’t let it fall apart quietly. The next move was theirs, and I had a feeling it would come soon.
