My nose felt sour, I nodded and fumbled for a while before finally fastening the seatbelt. 

At the party venue, Eddie and I maintained a certain distance throughout. 

It looked distant and stiff. 

In the past, I didn’t know about Arabella’s existence. I could cuddle up to her arm and allow for some physical contact. 

But now things are different. 

Eddie soon became someone else’s fiancé, and I was no longer just his friend’s daughter. 

“Hold me back.” 

Eddie whispered to me. 

I hesitated for a moment, then slowly reached out my hand, but to my surprise, Eddie suddenly grabbed it and our fingers intertwined. 

I just played the role of a “front” for a while. Eddie quickly engaged in conversations with clients in 

the business field.

And I sat in the corner of the party, eating desserts and drinking red wine. 

Just as I was enjoying the hustle and bustle of the party. 

Suddenly, a pair of hands dragged me into the bathroom. 

I rang the alarm loudly, desperately trying to break free from that hand, but little did I know that 

the next second I would hear Eddie’s voice mixed with heavy panting. 

“Kylie, it was me!” 

I looked up at him in astonishment, only to see his eyes glazed and his cheeks flushed. 

It felt like someone had drugged me. 

“Eddie, you…” 

I hadn’t finished speaking when my mouth was blocked by the person in front of me. 

Eddie exuded a strong sense of desire all over his body. 

He embraced me desperately, like drinking poison to quench his thirst, and said, “Kylie, help me…”

“I was drugged by someone.” 

My mind buzzed for a moment, and then I instantly became clear-headed. 

Eddie seemed to have lost half of his sanity as he loosened his tie and leaned towards me. 

His clothes were messed up, giving him a slightly seductive look. 

If it were before, Eddie would have embraced me like this. I would not refuse. 

But things are different now, he is going to marry Arabella. 

I coldly pushed him away. 

“You could have asked your fiancée, Ms. Hodge, for help, but I was unable to assist.” 

I turned around to leave the restroom. 

Eddie, however, pounced on me again, embracing me from behind. His voice was hoarse like never 

before. 

“Kylie, since we had a thing once, just do me a favor…” 

“I felt so uncomfortable.” 

Eddie flipped over my shoulder, held onto the back of my head, and leaned in to kiss me with a scorching breath. 

Gritting my teeth, I made up my mind. 

I pushed him hard again. I turned on the faucet directly and splashed him awake with cold water. 

“Eddie, although I once liked you, I am not a toy that you can have whenever you want.” 

“If you want to, you can go and find your fiancée Arabella.” 

“Anyway, you were about to get married, and I think she would be happy to be your antidote.” 

¦ After saying that, I fled in panic. 

I dared not look back at Eddie again. I didn’t know when that party ended. 

By the time Eddie returned, it was already the late hours of the early morning. 

I tidied up my things and sat in front of the window, staring blankly outside. 

When Eddie got out of the car, he had already regained his sanity. 

Following closely behind him, was Arabella.

When Arabella got out of the car, she almost tripped. Eddie took the initiative to support her, 

saying, “Slow down.” 

Arabella laughed coquettishly and then threw herself into his arms, hooking her arms around his 

neck. 

Planted a kiss on his cheek. 

“Eddie, as long as you were there, I didn’t have to worry about anything.” 

Eddie didn’t say anything, but he took his hand voluntarily. 

Two people walked towards the villa. A hint of mockery appeared in the corner of my eye. 

It seems that the poison was well detoxified. 

When Eddie couldn’t take it anymore, he probably called Arabella. 

The two people have been messing around until now before coming back. 

Eddie, thank you for taking care of me all these years. 

I don’t blame you for not loving me. 

To help you both was the last thing I could do before leaving. 

Eddie, I will never love you again in the future.
