I looked up in astonishment, thinking that I had misheard. 

“What?” Eddie looked at me with red eyes, slightly taken aback. 

He furrowed his brows subconsciously and fetched a hot towel to help me apply heat. 

“Tomorrow’s party requires a female companion, please do me a favor.” 

I looked at him in astonishment, weren’t you going to marry Arabella? 

But I didn’t ask this question. 

Eddie seemed to guess what I was thinking. “Arabella has an important meeting to attend today, 

and I can’t let her be distracted, so I came to find you.” 

I sighed lightly. 

The small flame that was burning in my heart suddenly extinguished. 

Originally, I was just worried that Arabella would be distracted, so she came to me, the backup, for 

help. 

I smiled and said, “Okay.” 

Anyway, in a few days, I would completely leave this city.
