The entire room erupted in shock.
My father frantically signaled staff to cut the video.
But by the time they finally managed to shut down the screen, every reporter in the room had already recorded the damning footage, looking utterly gleeful at the scandal unfolding before them. Waster Montgomery was struggling to stand up from his wheelchair.
Amper quickly ordered security to remove him from the venue.
But the moment the guards moved to touch the wheelchair, Alexander knocked one to the ground with a swift kick.
I stepped forward to steady Master Montgomery’s chair.
Amber backed away in shock:
“Violet? What are you doing here?”
Before she finished speaking, Olivia had somehow made her way onto the stage, grabbing the microphone:
“Ladies and gentlemen, you’ve all just heard the truth. Amber Parker can’t paint at all, and the ‘Wild Rose’ account was stolen from someone else!”
Amber lunged forward, desperate to snatch back the microphone.
Olivia simply sidestepped, causing Amber to trip over her own gown and face-plant spectacularly on the stage.
Sprawled on the floor, Amber screamed hysterically:
“That’s not true! The video is fake-someone’s trying to frame me!”
At this point, such weak denials were all she had left.
Meanwhile, Olivia had brought me to center stage, introducing me to everyone:
“The original owner of the account is none other than Violet, standing right beside me.”
At this, not just reporters but every guest in attendance raised their phones to capture the moment. But Amber still wouldn’t give up:
“Just because you say the account belongs to someone doesn’t make it true. What proof do you have? Olivia simply clapped her hands twice, and staff members brought out two empty easels:
“Since you still won’t admit it, let’s settle this with a live painting demonstration.”
“With so many witnesses here, it will be perfectly clear who the real artist is!”
Olivia’s confidence wasn’t unfounded.
During my stay at the Blackwood estate, Olivia had often seen me practicing painting whenever I had free time.
Though I was unprepared for a public demonstration, she believed my skill would easily crush Amber’s facade.
Sure enough, as soon as Olivia finished speaking, the color drained from Amber’s face.
Being forced to paint on the spot was essentially the same as publicly admitting she’d stolen my
account.
Standing under the spotlight, I felt an odd sense of unreality.
Could I really be reclaiming what I thought I’d lost forever?
At that moment, my father charged onto the stage, shouting at me:
“You ungrateful brat! How dare you disrupt your sister’s ceremony? I’ll kill you!”
He raised his hand high, ready to strike.
