I was completely stunned by that question.
It took me a while to realize that he was actually right.
I stayed silent, waving Julian off, and pushed down the bittersweet feeling in my heart. “Fine, I’ll just do my own laundry.”
By the time I finished washing my lingerie, Sebastian had breakfast ready.
I sat down and picked up my fork, just like any other day.
Suddenly, my phone in the bathroom started ringing like crazy.
I took a bite of my fried egg and yelled to Julian, who was still freshening up, “Can you grab that for me?”
Julian gave a quick shout of agreement. Then, a panicked female voice came through the speaker, reaching my ears loud and clear.
[Honey, we have an emergency! Between the two succubi in your house, you can only keep one now!]
SMASH!
A sharp sound echoed through the room.
Sebastian, who was in the middle of scooping porridge, had somehow shattered a porcelain bowl.
The back of his hand was already turning a vivid scarlet from the scald.
Ignoring the concierge, I rushed over, pulling Sebastian’s hand under the cold tap to cool it down.
“Does it hurt?”
Throughout the whole thing, Sebastiandidn’t utter a single peep or even flinch.
I figured, with his brooding personality, he’d just casually say, “It’s nothing.”
But instead, he stared at me intensely and said, “Seraphina, it hurts. It hurts so, so much.”
It must be really serious then!
I dug through the cabinets to find some burn cream and carefully applied it to Sebastian’s hand.
Julian walked over holding my phone.
“Master, she said… she left you a message. Remember to check it.”
I replied softly, “Okay, go ahead and eat first.”
I didn’t look up, but I could clearly feel the heavy, dark mood radiating from Sebastian.

I was terrified of hurting him again or making him upset, so I had to be extra careful.
Once everything was settled, I finally had a chance to contact the support.
She had indeed been leaving me messages since last night.
[Honey! After verification, Sebastian Thorne’s profile has been updated. Please check it immediately!]
I opened it, and the new document read: [Sebastian, Type: Unknown; Hobbies: Unknown; Loyalty: Maxed,
Rank: High-Tier Succubus.]
???
“When did Sebastian become a high-tier succubus?”
[According to our records, it was three months ago.]
Three months ago? Wasn’t that right when Sebastian first arrived?
Before I could think further, more messages from the support flooded in.
[Since high-tier succubi have intense personalities and are very territorial, we suggest you choose between the two. Otherwise, they might literally tear each other apart.]
Tear each other apart?
I calmed myself down. That wouldn’t happen. It would just be Sebastian completely crushing Julian.
For Julian’s safety, it was probably best to send him back.
[Do you need some time to think it over, Honey? Please give us an answer within 24 hours.]
“No need to think,” I typed back rapidly. “I’m keeping Sebastian.”
[Understood.]
[It seems you and Sebastian have a very strong bond.]
“Whatever,” I sighed, feeling deflated. “Sebastian has been a high-tier succubus for three months and still
hasn’t fallen for me. What ‘bond’ is there to talk about?”
Finally, I made an appointment with the support for a pickup on Monday.
Julian would stay at my place for one last night and leave tomorrow morning.
I felt a bit guilty about returning him only two days after he arrived.
I ruffled the cowlick on his head and asked, “Want to go out and have some fun today?”
“Yes!” Julian nodded vigorously.
He couldn’t wait to put on his jacket, waiting for me by the door like a good student.

Sebastian leaned against the doorframe, his dark gaze locked onto me. “I’m going too.”
“Next time,” I answered without thinking twice
“Your hand is burned; you should take it easy for a couple of days.”
I took it for granted that Sebastian and I had a future together, so I didn’t even give him a second glance as I
led Julian out the door.
But just as the door clicked shut, I thought I heard Sebastian ask a quiet question.
“Will there really be a next time… for me?”
