The Forgotten Princess Who Became a Lycan Warrior - Chapter (9)
Ch. The Forgotten Princess Who Became a Lycan Warrior 9 The Forgotten Princess Who Became a Lycan Warrior 9
Chapter 9
Three days after Aaron left the Lycan Realm, what had happened to the Greenwood Pack spread across the
entire werewolf realm.
At first, it was simply the news that Beta Luke had failed to deliver the Alpha King’s invitation to Jenna.
People found it strange.
The first she-werewolf with an SSS-Rank ever invited to join the Lycan Warrior Program had disappeared, and
her own family didn’t even know where she was.
Then the story grew.
A neighbor from Jenna’s old apartment gave an interview, saying the girl had lived there alone for a year. Her air conditioner had been broken the entire time, and when the power went out at night, she had no choice but
to sit in the hallway and cry.
Soon afterward, the owner of the coffee shop came forward.
He revealed that Jenna’s own Luna mother had collected her paycheck and replaced it with counterfeit bills.
The headlines were impossible to ignore.

I was eating dinner in the cafeteria when I saw the news.
My roommate looked at me cautiously.
“Jenna… is this… you?”
I lowered my eyes to her phone.
The photo showed the shabby apartment I had already moved out of.
The peeling walls. The moldy curtains. And the four little dolls standing in the corner, all turned to face the
wall.
After a long silence, I nodded, “Yeah.”
She didn’t ask another question.
Instead, she quietly placed the steak from her own tray onto mine.
“Then you should eat more from now on.”

I blinked in surprise before smiling, “Thank you.”
The news spread even faster than I had expected.
When members of the Greenwood Pack learned how their own Alpha had treated his daughter, their trust in
him began to crumble.
At a pack council meeting, someone remarked with a half-joking smile,
“If Alpha Derek could throw out his own SSS-Rank daughter, how are we supposed to trust him with the
safety of the pack?”
The rumors grew louder every day.
He had favored his B-Rank younger daughter.
He had driven away his SSS-Rank biological daughter until she disappeared without a trace.
Before long, the Council of Elders initiated an Alpha Trial to seek a new Alpha for the Greenwood Pack.
Luna Megan stopped attending gatherings with the other Lunas.
She had once loved showing off Hunter and Lydia. Now, whenever she appeared, someone would smile
politely and ask,
“We heard you have an SSS-Rank daughter too. How could you bear to drive away someone that
extraordinary?”
Hunter wasn’t having an easy time at school either.
When he had entered Lunar Crest Academy as a B-Rank student, everyone in the pack had praised him as a
genius.
Now everyone knew that the younger sister he had dismissed as “immature” was actually an SSS-Rank.
She had surpassed him long ago.
People whispered behind his back.
“Turns out he wasn’t the Greenwood Pack’s greatest heir after all.”
“Jenna should’ve been the future Alpha.”
“No wonder he always protected the younger sister. Even geniuses get jealous of someone even more gifted.”
Aaron wasn’t spared either.

Students on the Eclipse Warrior Institute forum dug up his old public posts where he had promised to wait
for me.
Others exposed how he had later stood beside Lydia and persuaded me to choose another school instead.
The rumors spread rapidly.
Wherever he went, people stared at him.
Some even asked him directly, “Didn’t you say you’d wait for her?”
“So how did you end up waiting until she walked away?”
Lydia took it the hardest.
She broke down crying at school several times.
She said she had always been sick.
She insisted none of it had been intentional.
But this time, not many people gathered around to comfort her.
Instead, they whispered among themselves.
“Does being sick give you the right to take your sister’s future?”
“Your SSS-Rank sister was forced to live alone for an entire year while you lived comfortably in the
packhouse.”
“What exactly are you crying about?”
I heard she attempted suicide again.
But after examining her, the pack physician concluded that she was simply emotionally distressed and
wasn’t in any real danger.
This time, Mom didn’t rush to hold Lydia while crying with her.
Instead, she sat alone in the hallway of the pack hospital, red-eyed, calling me again and again.
I never answered.
Later, Aaron came to the Lycan Realm once more.
This time, my parents and Hunter came with him.
They waited outside the academy gates carrying armfuls of things.

Clothes. A laptop. Bank cards. Even a newly issued family access card.
The moment Mom saw me, tears streamed down her face.
“Jenna… please forgive me.”
“We were wrong.”
Dad’s voice was rough, “We will pay for your tuition and living expenses from now on. You’ll never have to suffer again.”
Hunter lowered his head, “I’m sorry.”
I looked at them quietly.
My heart was completely calm.
Apologies that came too late. Gifts that came too late. Love that came too late.
None of it had any value to me anymore.
“No, thank you. My scholarship is enough.”
Mom grabbed my hand as she cried, “But we’re family.”
I slowly withdrew my hand, “Not anymore.”
She froze.
Looking at all of them, I spoke slowly, one word at a time.
“The day you sent me to that apartment…”
“The day you told me not to go to the Realm…”
“That was the day we stopped being a family.”
After saying that, I turned and walked back toward the academy.
Behind me, I could hear Mom’s muffled sobs.
I heard them calling my name again and again.
But I never looked back.
Alone if I had to, I would carve my own path and climb until I reached my dream.
