After that, while dealing with the divorce proceedings, I also returned to work at my family’s company.

Thankfully, when my parents learned about my decision, they were incredibly supportive.

Meanwhile, Alexander, who had been silent for a while, showed up again.

He set off fireworks all over the city for me.

He took out the biggest billboard in the CBD to profess his love.

He gave me all the gifts he’d missed for those special occasions, our wedding anniversary, my birthday, Valentine’s Day, Christmas…

And he reported his whereabouts to me 24/7, whether on a business trip or working overtime, not missing a single detail.

In the past, my heart would have melted into a puddle.

But now? All I felt was impatience and annoyance.

It turns out, once you completely let go of someone, no matter what they do, it just feels like interference.

Standing on the balcony, I called out coldly to the figure who had been standing outside my gate for days:

“Go away, or I’ll call the police.”

But he just looked at the lawyer standing beside me and spoke hoarsely.

“Olivia, I’ve already punished Chloe.”

“I’ve cut off all ties with the women on the side.”

“That’s why I’m brave enough to come see you now.”

“Now, I just want to ask for your forgiveness.”

I turned away indifferently and instructed security to drive him off.
