Chapter 330 Someone Is Selling Pack Routes

Acha Damian POV

Flourish was still reviewing the bloodline network’s replies when Rhys’s call came through.

I watched her read the message twice. Northvale had sent an urgent alert. Their supply convoy had been ambushed less than an hour after leaving its staging point.

“Are they alive?” I asked.

“Some are injured. They’ve lost one vehicle, and the escort is pinned down near the old quarry road,” Rhys said. “The attackers were waiting at the exact turn where the route narrowed.”

Flourish stood. “How many people were in the convoy?”

“Eight drivers and six escorts. They were carrying medical supplies and food for two smaller packs.”

I reached for my jacket. “Send me the live location and everyone who received the schedule.”

“Already sending it. Northvale wants help but doesn’t want a large force attracting attention.”

“He’ll get a small team.” I contacted Ragnar and ordered four Dartwood warriors and a medic to move out in unmarked vehicles. “Get the wounded out first. Don’t chase anyone who retreats.”

Flourish came around the desk. “I’m going with them.”

“No. You need to find out how the schedule leaked.”

“If someone is injured, I can help.”

“Your medical team can coordinate the transfer. The convoy was using a protected route from the network you just activated. We need to know how the attackers found it.”

She looked ready to argue, but another alert appeared on the screen. Rhys had sent the convoy’s last confirmed position.

“Fine,” she said. “I’ll keep the emergency channel open and arrange medical support.”

I left before we could turn the agreement into another argument.

At the security bay, Ragnar’s team checked their weapons, medical kits, and communication devices.

I ordered them to remove their Dartwood insignia and keep their mind links on the emergency channel. The attackers might be watching for a familiar pack response.

“Recover the people and hold the road only as long as necessary,” I told Ragnar. “We don’t know what they

want us to see.”

He nodded. “People first.”

I stayed at the command station as their vehicle moved out. Their voices came through until they reached the edge of the damaged relay coverage. Then the team switched to the emergency channel Flourish had

kept active.

Twelve minutes later, Ragnar reported two wounded guards, a driver with a broken arm, and another wolf with a deep cut along his side.

The attackers had struck the lead and rear vehicles almost together, stopping the convoy before its escort could spread out.

They had taken two sealed cases from the supply truck and left the food, medicine, and cash untouched.

That bothered me.

“Did anyone see what was inside the cases?” I asked.

“Route records and supply manifests,” Ragnar replied. “Northvale says they were sealed for the quartermaster. The attackers knew which cases to take.”

They hadn’t come for provisions. They wanted information, or they wanted Northvale to know that its information was no longer safe.

I opened the protected network log. The convoy schedule had been sent through the dormant channel Flourish activated, then copied into Northvale’s dispatch system.

The network’s signature checks showed only authorized recipients. There was no sign that the channel itself had broadcast the route to outsiders.

Someone with legitimate access had passed it on.

I called Flourish. She answered from the archive room, where Rhys and Cheryl were checking the access history.

“Was the schedule posted anywhere public?” I asked.

“No. It went to Northvale’s operations lead, two convoy coordinators, and the quartermaster. The original file wasn’t altered.”

“Who else could have seen it?”

“Anyone who accessed those accounts, anyone who saw a recipient’s screen, or someone who obtained the information outside the system.” She paused. “There’s another problem. Northvale changed the route this morning. The new schedule went out less than two hours before the convoy left.”

The attackers had known about the last-minute change.

“Can Rhys identify who opened the file first?”

“He’s checking. But if packs stop trusting the network, they’ll hide their routes from one another again.”

“They should stop trusting whoever sold them out, not the whole network.”

“I agree. We need proof before we name anyone.”

After the call, I studied the schedule. Someone could earn money selling route locations, departure times, or the names of packs requesting emergency support.

A buyer could use that information to intercept a convoy, threaten a pack, or sell the same details to another

ver.

This wasn’t a random leak. It was a service.

Ragnar’s team returned with the wounded and one recovered case. The other had been taken along with an encrypted drive stored inside it…

The escorts had caught only brief glimpses of the attackers. Their scents had been masked with chemical, blockers, and no one could identify a pack mark.

One attacker had shifted before retreating, but the witnesses disagreed about the color of his coat.

I met Ragnar in the bay while the medic transferred the injured to the clinic team.

“They knew the convoy’s exact position,” he said. “They also knew how long the escort would need to turn the vehicles around. Someone understood convoy procedure.”

“Could it have been a Northvale warrior?”

“Possibly. Or someone who worked with them. The attackers were trained, but I didn’t recognize their formation.”

I returned to the command station and reviewed the people who had requested route information since Flourish reopened the channel.

The list included pack leaders, logistics staff, independent drivers, healers arranging transfers, and security coordinators responsible for emergency support.

Every request had a reasonable explanation. Every request could also be sold.

Flourish arrived carrying a list from Rhys and placed it beside my keyboard.

“We have no evidence that the network itself was breached,” she said. “Someone may be collecting information about its users and movements. It could be an internal broker, but that doesn’t mean the person works for F-Tech.”

“Then we investigate everyone who requests information, everyone who approves it, and anyone who can see the schedules afterward.” I glanced at the names. Several people worked with multiple packs, and others were contractors handling transport or emergency supplies. “Quietly. I don’t want a warning reaching the broker before we know who they are.”

“I’ll have Rhys compare the requests against vendor records and transport contracts. We can look for unusual payments.”

I closed the list. We had built the network to help packs protect one another. Someone had found a way to turn that trust into a commodity, and Northvale had paid for it in blood.

When Rhys came back on the line, I gave him the order.

“Find the person selling our routes. I want the buyer, the seller, and every payment between them.”

We weren’t looking for a hidden army this time. We were looking for someone making a business out of our
