Chapter 872 The Broadcast

Lady Flourish POV

Amara remained in my office after the headline appeared. She read it twice, then handed my phone back.

“They’re going to use my words however they want,” she said:

“They may try. We can still make sure people hear the full explanation.”

Rhys looked up from his tablet. “Several neutral packs have asked whether F-Tech will address the accusations directly. Some want to hear from you, not another company statement.”

I glanced at Amara. “Would you be willing to speak again?”

She considered the question before answering. “If we do it together.”

I didn’t want her to feel she had to keep defending me, but she had made her choice.

“All right,” I said. “Together.”

Rhys arranged an encrypted broadcast through the pack communication network. It would be available to verified pack leaders and their designated representatives, not the public channels where clips could be edited and spread without context. Each participating pack would receive the same transmission, and the recording would be stored with its original timestamp.

We reviewed the connection list. Some packs had confirmed attendance, others had requested access, and a few had not responded.

“Do we know how many are watching?” Amara asked.

“Not until the connection opens,” Rhys replied.

She nodded and adjusted the sleeve of her blouse. Her wolf was close to the surface. I could sense her unease through the bloodline connection, though she kept her breathing even.

“You can stop at any point,” I told her quietly.

“I know. I won’t.”

When the broadcast began, Rhys gave us the signal. A row of verified pack symbols appeared on the monitor. Several Alpha portraits opened, while others kept their cameras off. I recognized leaders from the packs that had delayed their meetings with F-Tech. Their presence was a start, but it didn’t mean they

trusted us.

I introduced myself and Amara, then addressed the accusations.

“Some of you have heard that F-Tech is using the First Alpha bloodline to bring independent packs under my control. Others have been told that our emergency network is a way to gather information and influence decisions beyond our territory. Those claims are false.”

I explained that packs outside the main territories had contacted us for medical help, secure

communication, and safe evacuation routes. F-Tech had offered those services, not authority over their

leaders.

Each pack controlled its own records and chose what to share. Agreements could be refused or ended without punishment. The network gave me no right to command another Alpha or make decisions for another pack.

One of the leaders interrupted. “Then why does the network use your bloodline?”

“Because certain bloodline signals can help verify emergency requests and identify people who may need assistance,” I answered. “That does not make the people carrying those signals property of the network, and it does not give me authority over the packs connected to it.”

Another leader asked whether a pack could withdraw without losing access to other F-Tech services.

“Yes. The services are separate. Leaving the emergency network doesn’t automatically end other agreements.”

Amara leaned closer to her microphone.

“I want to explain something about the bloodline,” she said. “People have spoken about me as if being the second vessel means I belong to someone else’s plan. I spent much of my life with other people making decisions about me. I know what that feels like, and I won’t support another system that does the same thing.”

“Flourish did not ask me to join the network. She did not tell me that I had to help her because we share blood. I chose to stay with her, and I can change my mind. That choice is mine. The same should be true for every pack being asked to work with F-Tech.”

A leader from one of the neutral packs switched on his camera. “You expect us to accept that your sister has no influence over your decisions?”

Amara looked directly at the screen. “She can disagree with me. She can advise me. That is not the same as controlling me.”

I reminded them that participation was voluntary. We had security weaknesses to correct, but we had not built a private army or transferred weapons to allied packs. The forged documents did not change the terms of our agreements.

Questions followed, some about withdrawal procedures and emergency access. One Alpha wanted an independent review of the network’s safeguards before considering a partnership. I agreed that an external review could be discussed, provided the reviewer was acceptable to both sides and sensitive pack records remained protected,

Another leader said his pack would not join yet. He wanted time to speak with his council.

“That’s your decision,” I told him. “You don’t owe us an answer today.”

Rhys confirmed that every verified participant had received the recording and the network’s written terms. Amara removed her earpiece.

“I thought they would ask more about what happened to me,” she admitted.

Some will,” I said. “You don’t have to answer those questions.”

Rhys checked the response panel. Several leaders had requested copies of the agreements. One pack that had postponed its meeting asked to reschedule, while another requested details about the independent review. There were still leaders who had not responded, and no one had promised to join.

But the messages were different now. They were asking how the network worked instead of repeating that I intended to rule them.

Amara read one of the requests over Rhys’s shoulder. “Does this mean they believe us?”

“It means they’re willing to listen,” I replied.

For now, that was enough. The accusations had not disappeared, and our enemies would have heard the broadcast too. Still, the packs had seen us speak for ourselves, and they had heard Amara explain her choice in her own words.
