Chapter 373 The Wolves Who Attacked The Wrong Target
Alpha Damian POV
The call came less than an hour after the broadcast ended.
Rhys was still at F-Tech. “An alarm has gone off at the eastern-logistics center,” he said. “Someone breached the perimeter.”
“Is Flourish there?”
“No. She left with Amara. The center’s security team has requested support.”
I was in Dartwood. I ordered the nearest patrol to follow me and shifted as soon as we cleared the main road. My wolf carried me toward the eastern boundary.
The logistics center was small. It stored medical supplies, communication equipment, and emergency provisions before they were sent to partner packs. There were no weapons inside. Flourish had kept those operations separate after the forged documents began circulating.
-Whoever had chosen the target either hadn’t checked or believed the accusations.
When we reached the access road, two security wolves stood outside the gate. One had blood running down his foreleg.
“How many?” I asked.
“Six that we saw,” the uninjured guard replied. “They cut through the fence and tried to reach the storage building.”
“Did they get inside?”
“No. We locked the internal doors when the alarm sounded.”
I checked the injured wolf. The cut was deep, but he could stand.
“Get him to the medical room. Then report back.”
A growl came from the trees. My warriors spread out while the center’s security team held the entrance. They knew the layout better than my patrol did, so I signalled them to stay near the building as we moved toward the damaged fence.
A wolf burst from the trees and charged.
I shifted before he reached me. His claws caught my shoulder, but I seized his foreleg and threw him aside. One of my warriors pinned him before he could rise.
Two more attackers came from the left. The security wolves intercepted them beside the loading bay. Crates stood ready for an early delivery, and the fight moved around them. I heard claws scrape concrete and a sharp yelp from one of the attackers.
Another wolf tried to reach the storage doors. I cut him off and drove him back toward the fence.

“Where are the weapons?” he snarled.
“There are no weapons here.”
He lunged. I struck him across the side and forced him to the ground. My warriors closed in, and he stopped fighting when he realized he was surrounded.
The remaining attackers were retreating. One dragged an injured companion toward the trees while another covered them. They had expected an easy target, but the security wolves had held their positions and my patrol had blocked their route out.
“Don’t chase them beyond the boundary,” I ordered.
One of my warriors turned toward the trees, clearly wanting to pursue.
“Hold the perimeter. The center comes first.”
We searched every building. The attackers had damaged the fence, broken a camera, and forced open a service entrance, but they had not reached the storage area. The supplies were untouched.
We brought the captured wolf into the security office. He refused to give his name and kept asking about the weapons.
“You were told there was an arms shipment here,” I said.
His jaw tightened.
“Who told you?”
He looked toward the door and said nothing.
Someone had spread the claim that F-Tech was moving weapons through its logistics centers, then sent wolves to seize what they believed was stored here. If the attackers had found anything, the enemy would have used it as proof. Instead, they had injured a guard and damaged a facility that supplied medical and communication equipment to several packs.
I called Rhys and gave him the details. He confirmed that F-Tech had preserved the alarm records and camera footage.
“Flourish needs to know,” I said.
“I’ll inform her. The broadcast has brought questions from more neutral packs. This attack could affect their response.”
“Send her the footage first. I want her to see what happened.”
The captive shifted in his chair. “They said this place was supplying weapons to the packs that joined you.”
“Who said that?”
He pressed his lips together.

“You attacked a medical depot because someone told you there were weapons inside. Your people were willing to hurt guards over a claim you never checked.”
His eyes moved toward the window.
“Who gave you the information?” I asked again.
He remained silent. I instructed my warriors to keep him separated from the others until Rhys could arrange a secure interview. We would preserve the evidence and trace the route the attackers had used.
Outside, the security team was already checking the fence. The injured guard had been taken for treatment, and the remaining wolves were counting supplies, None were missing.
My phone vibrated. Flourish had sent a message.
“Are you safe? Rhys told me about the attack.”
I replied that I was safe, the center was secure, and one attacker had been captured. I promised to send her the details.
Her answer came quickly.
“Don’t let them turn this into another excuse to make decisions for us.”
I looked toward the damaged fence. The attackers had come looking for weapons and found trained wolves protecting medical supplies. Their failure would not stop whoever had sent them. It would only force that person to try something else.
“Repair the fence before nightfall,” I told the security/team. “No one leaves without checking in. We need to know whether the attackers had help nearby.”
Then I returned to the office. We had one prisoner, a damaged facility, and a question that still needed an answer: who had convinced those wolves that F-Tech was hiding an armory?
