08

In the past, Drake and I had shared everything-no secrets between us, including my “Wild Rose”,” account and password.

But that former closeness had now transformed into a sharp splinter, piercing straight through my heart.

Furious, Drake kicked me out of his car:

“Go think about your attitude! You need to get your priorities straight!”

I was abandoned on a remote mountain road, my phone smashed to pieces on the ground where Drake had thrown it.

This area was rarely traveled. I couldn’t call an Uber, so I had no choice but to drag my injured leg toward the Parker estate as fast as I could.

I knew I had to beat Drake there and change my “Wild Rose” password before he could get to it. But in the darkness, I was in so much pain I could barely walk. After just a few steps, I collapsed to the ground.

Every inch of my body screamed in agony, but I ignored it, desperately crawling forward.

I don’t know how long I crawled, until I was completely exhausted. Finally, as dawn broke, I made it back to the mansion.

But it was already too late.

The staff were excitedly discussing how the “Parker heiress” had been officially accepted as. Master Montgomery’s student, marveling that the family would soon produce a great artist.

I grabbed one of their phones and discovered that last night, Amber had logged into my “Wild Rose” account and posted a video of herself thanking Master Montgomery for his consideration. Followers were commenting enthusiastically, praising Amber not only for her exceptional artistic talent but also for her beauty, tagging Master Montgomery to accept her as his personal apprentice. Just ten minutes earlier, Master Montgomery had posted an official invitation accepting her.

I felt my heart shatter into pieces that could never be put back together.

Ethan was the first to see me collapsed on the floor, sobbing uncontrollably, but he couldn’t meet my eyes, his gaze shifting nervously away.

Soon after, my mother appeared too.

She’d originally planned to scold me for not coming home all night, but when she saw my pale, devastated face, the words died in her throat.

I looked up at them:

“Did you all know about Amber stealing my account?”

Neither my mother nor Ethan spoke, but their unnatural expressions said everything.

I wiped away my tears and limped back to my room.

On the way, my mother reached out to help me, but I subtly avoided her touch.

Yet once upon a time, I would have been overjoyed at any chance to be close to her.

Ethan frowned, about to say something, but my mother stopped him.

They watched silently as I packed my meager belongings.

Only now did they seem surprised at how pathetically little I owned.

A pang of regret flashed across my mother’s face.

Ethan grabbed my suitcase, his voice strained;

“Why are you packing these old rags? When you come back, I’ll buy you new clothes.” “Let go.”

My voice was so cold that Ethan actually released his grip.

After finishing my packing, I took out two documents. I handed one to my mother:

“This is to sever our family relationship.”

“After leaving the Parkers, I’ll cut all familial ties with you and no longer use the Parker name. Please sign it.”

My mother’s face instantly went white. She instinctively refused.

Ethan rushed forward, shouting:

“Violet, what are you doing? It’s just taking Amber’s punishment-why are you being so dramatic?” “If you don’t sign, I won’t go to the Blackwoods. I think-”

My voice carried a hint of sarcasm, “The Blackwood car is probably already waiting outside, isn’t it?” At that moment, Amber appeared from nowhere, clutching my mother’s leg:

“Mom, are you really going to let me be punished by the Blackwoods?”

My father entered with a cold expression. He snatched the document from my hands and signed it: “We’re just asking you to do one thing for your sister, and you make this huge scene. I guess you really don’t need to be a Parker anymore!”

I immediately handed over the second document:

“This is my letter breaking off the engagement with the Sullivan family. Please give it to Drake along with this necklace.”

This time, Amber took it with obvious eagerness:

“Don’t worry, sister. I’ll make sure Drake gets it.”

I took my suitcase and walked straight out.

s I got into the Blackwood car, I took one last look at everyone from the Parker family. n this lifetime, whether living or dead, I would never return.

For some reason, my mother suddenly felt a rush of reluctance. She chased after the Blackwood car for quite a distance, shouting my name desperately:

“Violet! Violet…”

But the car never stopped.

She only stopped running when she tripped on a stone in the lawn after passing through the main gale.

Ethan was the first to reach her.

As he helped her up, he glared angrily at the departing car:

“Violet has completely lost her mind! Over this tiny thing, she had to make such a scene before leaving!”

“And that act of packing those worthless clothes-even if her monthly allowance wasn’t as much as Amber’s, it couldn’t have been so little that she needed to dress like a homeless person!

“I bet she’s just jealous of Amber and has become obsessed with getting attention!”

As my mother was helped to her feet, she couldn’t help crying out in pain..

She discovered a small cut on her calf from a sharp leaf.

Though it wasn’t bleeding, it hurt badly.

This made Ethan even angrier:
