My Sister’s Punishment, My Billionaire Prize - Chapter (9)

“That crazy Violet!”
“When she gets back from the Blackwoods, I’m going to teach her a serious lesson!” My mother’s dull eyes suddenly lit up:
“Will Violet really come back?”
Even now, the resolve and disappointment she’d seen on my face was haunting her.
Ethan paused momentarily, then spoke with renewed confidence:
“She’s your biological daughter and my twin sister. Have you forgotten how she used to try so hard to
please us just for a bit of affection? How could she possibly bear to leave for good?”
“Besides, she has no money and no connections. If she really cuts ties with the Parker family, she cant
even afford college. I bet this whole ‘severing ties’ document is just a trick to get attention.”
To prove his point, Ethan immediately took out his phone and called the bank:
“Freeze all of Violet Parker’s bank accounts and financial assets immediately. Don’t let her use a single cent!”
My mother finally seemed to calm down.
But after taking just a few steps, she felt a sharp pain in her calf.
She suddenly thought of my limping figure as I left, and couldn’t help mumbling:
“I wonder if Violet’s leg hurts as much as mine. Will there be any lasting damage?”
Ethan felt a twinge in his heart but kept his face neutral, reassuring her:
“Don’t worry. When Violet comes back, I’ll take her to see the best doctors. There won’t be any permanent issues.”
When they returned, both Amber and my father were nowhere to be seen.
My father often handled company business, frequently called back to board meetings, so his absence was normal.
But Amber had watched my mother run after the car-why wasn’t she waiting here?
If I had been there and seen my mother fall, I would have been beside myself with worry.
Ethan felt increasingly irritated.
After escorting my mother back to her room, he was about to go look for Amber when he received a call from the bank:
“Mr. Parker, you asked us to freeze Miss Violet Parker’s financial accounts. However, we’ve checked our records and found that all her accounts were closed twelve years ago and have never been reopened.”
“That’s impossible!”
Ethan instinctively argued.
Parker family tradition dictated that each child would have a bank account opened on their first birthday, with a substantial monthly allowance deposited. Violet was a Parker-how could her accounts have been closed? And twelve years ago…
Twelve years ago? Wasn’t that exactly when I was sent to Vermont?
Ethan’s breath caught. He hurriedly asked:
“Who closed Violet’s bank accounts?”
The bank representative responded:
“Your father, Mr. Parker.”
