When Alexander found Sabrina, she was lounging on the couch, leisurely painting her nails. 

Facing his furious, hysterical questioning, she merely set down the brush and let out a soft laugh. 

“Yeah, I did all of it.” 

“But Alex, I did it for you. I just wanted to help her love you more.” 

Sabrina stood up and wrapped her arms around his waist, her voice gentle and sweet. 

“We grew up together. Don’t you know me better than anyone? Have I ever hurt you?” 

Alexander’s voice trembled with pain. “The doctor said… Eleanor might never wake up again.” 

Sabrina traced circles on his back with her finger, her tone light and casual. 

“Well, isn’t that for the best? It’s not like anyone pushed her. She jumped on her own.” 

“Besides, you still have me, don’t you?” 

She leaned in, trying to kiss him, but Alexander shoved her away with force. 

His eyes were icy. “Eleanor will wake up!” 

“And I’ve never loved you. I never have. The only woman I’ve ever loved is Eleanor Shaw.” 

“You won’t get away with what you’ve done.” 

Sabrina let go of him without a care. “Oh, alright. I’ll wait.” 

She was convinced that after all these years, and with how Alexander had always let her get away with 

everything, he would never really hurt her. 

Until that night-when Alexander had her dragged into a dark, filthy basement. 

Surrounded by stained walls and a stench that clung to the air, the calm on Sabrina’s face finally began to 

crack.

She screamed until her voice broke. “I did everything because I love you!” 

But Alexander simply stood at the door, cold eyes fixed on her.
