I flinched, my arms immediately falling limply to my side.
I couldn’t have been more wounded if he’d punched me. “You can’t?” I echoed lamely, feeling a wave of humiliation when he slowly pulled away from me. I closed my legs, adjusting my robe over my body as though it could protect me from the embarrassment currently threatening to unalive me. I had so many
questions and yet I couldn’t bring myself to ask any of them.
I’d thought this was what he wanted. He’d been acting ever since I’d moved to the pack like he couldn’t
wait to get his hands on me, and now that the opportunity had presented itself… I swallowed the lump in
my throat. Of course he had rejected me. I never learned when it came to this man, did I? I jumped down
from the dresser, moving out of his reach when he tried to pull me to himself.
I cleared my throat. “It’s okay, I get it.” I said to him, avoiding his hands. It wasn’t okay and I got nothing,
but I’d be damned if I was going to admit that to him. I walked to my bedroom door and pulled it wide
open, patiently waiting for him to leave the room so I could beat myself up for how stupid I was. He approached me, his steps angry. He wrapped his hand around my wrist, pinning my hands to the wall
beside my head.
“Listen to me,” He commanded, making a sound at the back of throat that was half-growl, half-groan. “I
want nothing more than to bury my cock deep inside you-”
I scoffed at his words, still unable to meet his eyes.
“Yes, Logan,” I retorted, finally dragging my gaze to his. I was so tired of his stupid games. “I definitely got
the idea that that’s exactly what you wanted,” I tried to pull my hands from his, but he tightened his grip.
“If you don’t want me like that, it’s fine. But there’s no need to act like you do. No need to keep giving me
the kind of looks that make me think…” I trailed off. His eyes turned stormy, but I couldn’t care less. He
was pissed?
Good. So was I.
Before I had the chance to politely ask him to let go of me, he was bringing my right hand to his crotch. A shiver skated through my spine. Goddess… “Does that feel like I don’t want you?” He rasped, moving my hand over the bulge in his pants and gently rocking against my palm. “Does it?” He asked, his tone a little

harsher. My hand was back to the wall before I could give in to the temptation of rubbing him of my own
accord.
“Why did you stop then?” I asked, my gaze dipping to his lips. I already knew the feel of them would haunt
me for days to come.
He pressed his lips together, as though trying to shield them from the weight of my gaze. “Ten me you’ve completely forgiven me for what I did to you in the past?” It took a few seconds, but slowly his words
registered past the fog of lust clouding my senses.
“What?” I remarked confusedly.
“Tell me you’ve moved past the pain you had to go through raising Elias on your own, that you’re sorry you kept him from me…” At his last statement, a flare of anger I hadn’t known I had buried deep inside of me reared its head. He wanted me to apologize for keeping Elias from me? I couldn’t. Because… I wasn’t sorry
about that. I was still hurt from his treatment of me and it had been my way of punishing me.
I pressed my lips together, knowing Mara would be disappointed if she heard my thoughts. Yes, I’d ended up punishing Elias too by letting him grow up without his father but goddammit! I wanted Logan to hurt the same way he had hurt me. Could I truly forgive him for getting me pregnant and letting me go through the delivery on my own? I didn’t respond to his words, but I didn’t need to because my silence was enough.
His expression changed to one of hurt before he carefully masked it.
He finally let go of my hands, running his hand through his hair in a way that made my heart hurt. Suddenly I wished things could be different. I wished he had done things differently, that I could just move on from the grudge I was still holding against him after all these years. “I thought as much,” He said sadly.
Logan… I paused, unsure what I was even going to say. I didn’t want to give an apology I didn’t mean.
“It’s fine, Sienna,” He tried to reassure me, but we both knew it wasn’t fine at all. My eyes stung when he cupped my cheek in his hand and smoothed his thumb over the softness of my skin. “I’m going to get you to forgive me,” He vowed softly. “I don’t care how long it takes. I’m going to earn your forgiveness, win back your trust.” He lowered his guard, letting me see the swirl of emotions in his eyes. “But until then, I’m not
going to have sex with you,”
I gently pulled my face away from his touch, his words stinging.
“That’s it?” I asked. “You’re going to punish me for still being mad about something I tightly deserve to be

mad about?”

shook his head slowly. “My intent is not to punish you Sienna,” he said sincerely. “But I won’t have the
best moments of my life with you, and will you regret it when the chemicals wear off,” The raw honesty in
his expression had air whooshing out of my lungs. He kissed my lips and it took everything in me to not
chase him when he pulled back. “Go to sleep, we’ll see in the morning.”
I closed my room door after he’d left, leaning against it and wrestling with my emotions.
I was hurting him.
And I didn’t know how to stop.
