“So it was a high-quality counterfeit! What is this? Stealing pack secrets?”
“I knew it! Silvercrest Pack used to only trade basic herbs, how come they suddenly made this kind of
healing balm with moon-root efficacy?”
“The Silver Moon Salve from Greenleaf Pack has been used for six generations, hasn’t it? Blatantly
copying others is truly shameless.”
“But these leaked scrolls look like they were done by an insider!
“I’m an insider, and Greenleaf Pack is already preparing to challenge Silvercrest for theft of sacred herbs.”
Overnight, just like an Alpha being targeted with rumors, Silvercrest Pack’s newly brewed healing balm was boycotted across all the territories.
The den announcement stated that Silvercrest’s newly launched balm claims to have moon-root efficacy, but in reality, it is a one-to-one imitation of the formula of the flagship remedy of the well- known Greenleaf Pack – Silver Moon Salve.
The accompanying photos, clearly leaked from within, include the healer’s manuscript and a comparison with the ingredients of the Greenleaf Silver Moon Salve.
Wolves in other packs believe that Silvercrest’s healing balm is a direct copy of Greenleaf.
Meanwhile, Greenleaf’s Silver Moon Salve has already been registered in the Elders’ Herb Codex, so Silvercrest’s move is simply baring its throat to the wolves.
I sat back in my office chair, one leg crossed over the other as I lazily scrolled through my phone.
Every few seconds, another post appeared.
Another angry comment.
Another person tearing Ava apart.
The corner of my lips lifted.
I had expected some backlash when I paid tens of thousands of dollars for smear articles and hired online trolls to stir the pot, but I hadn’t expected it to spread this quickly. The outrage had taken on a life of its own. People were arguing in comment sections, reposting rumors as facts, and dragging Ava’s name through the mud without bothering to question where any of it had come from.

Now, watching them swallow every lie I had carefully placed in front of them, I found myself appreciating their stupidity.
All it took was one little piece of bait.
They had bitten.
Hard.
I locked my phone and placed it on the desk, unable to suppress the satisfied smile tugging at my lips.
For once, everything was going exactly the way I wanted.
Right now, Logan was probably sitting in a meeting with the pack elders, trying to explain the disaster that had erupted around us. And Ava, being the person at the center of everything, would naturally have to sit there and endure their questions.
I could almost picture it.
The uncomfortable silence.
The suspicious glances.
The elders demanding answers she couldn’t give.
My smile widened.
Ava had always wanted everything.
The title. The admiration. The praise. She wanted everyone to look at her and see the perfect Luna, the woman who could do no wrong.
Well, that little fantasy was finally beginning to crack.
She had never deserved the title in the first place.
Why should she receive the praise that came with it?
I leaned farther back in the boss’s chair and stretched my arms above my head, letting out a slow breath. The leather creaked beneath me as I settled comfortably into the seat.
It was the most relaxed I’d felt since arriving at this pack.
And for once, I didn’t have to force myself to smile..

Lremembered sneaking into the packhouse, checking the launch and making the necessary payment with Tala’s help. At the time, I hadn’t known exactly how far the plan would go.
Now, I was beginning to see just how much damage one carefully placed spark could cause.
My thoughts drifted back to that morning.
We had been taking Anaya to her new academy, and the moment I remembered what had happened,
the pleasant feeling in my chest returned.
There was no chance of Naya going back to Silvercrest Pup Kindergarten.
After everything that had happened, she had been forced to attend Hearthstone Pup Academy instead, a place that was nowhere near as prestigious.
I had seen the disappointment on her face that morning.
She hadn’t needed to say a word.
Her little shoulders had been slumped, and the excitement that usually lit up her eyes had disappeared.
Logan could have done something about it.
He simply chose not to.
As we stood outside the academy, Logan crouched slightly in front of Naya, his expression serious.
“Anaya, you must behave well at your new school.”
Naya’s fingers curled around the strap of her little bag.
I immediately turned toward him.
“You’re making it sound like this was Naya’s fault.”
Logan’s expression tightened.
“I didn’t mean that.”
“Then don’t make it sound that way.”
He glanced at me, but I could tell he didn’t want to argue in front of Naya, especially not at the entrance of her new school.
That only made me more irritated.

Her big eyes had already begun to glister. She pressed her lips together, clearly trying not to cry,
before giving us a tiny nod.-
Neither of us said anything else.
She simply turned around and walked through the academy gates alone, her small figure disappearing farther into the building.
Something twisted painfully in my chest.
I swallowed it down.
There was nothing I could do now.
I turned toward the car, and Logan immediately opened the door for me. I slipped inside without thanking him, still simmering over his words.
He hadn’t even realized how badly he had handled that.
I was already preparing to lecture him about it, and perhaps make him work a little harder to coax me out of my mood, when my phone chimed.
I glanced down.
Tala.
One message.
The plan had worked.
My entire expression changed before I could stop it.
The irritation vanished from my face so quickly that Logan noticed.
He looked at me through the rearview mirror, and when he saw the smile spreading across my lips, his shoulders seemed to loosen.
He started the car.
I leaned back against the seat, reading Tala’s message again.
Successful.
Perfect.

I stared out the window, unable to hide the satisfaction dancing in my eyes.
Now, all I had to do was wait.
Eventually, Logan would see what everyone else was beginning to see.
Ava was failing.
Again and again, she would stumble, make mistakes, and prove that she wasn’t the flawless Luna everyone believed her to be.
And when that happened, Logan wouldn’t have a choice.
He would have to unbind her.
My fingers tightened around my phone as I smiled to myself.
I had waited long enough.
Now, I just had to make sure he had no reason left to choose her over me.
