CELINE’S POINT OF VIEW
Definitely, Runa agreed.
My eyes shifted toward Tala.
She was standing a short distance away.
I caught her attention and gave her a subtle signal.
A small wink.
Tala understood immediately.
Har Ca
Her eyes followed mine toward Ava, and the faintest smile touched her lips.
Perfect.
A few minutes later, the designer disappeared into the crowd, leaving Ava standing alone.
Tala reached for a glass of red wine.
I watched as she began walking toward Ava.
One step.
Then another.
Ava turned slightly.
“Oops.”
The word had barely left Tala’s mouth before she stumbled.
Red wine spilled across Ava’s white gown.
The dark liquid spread over the fabric.
Around them, conversations stopped.
Logan turned sharply.
The designer looked over in shock.
And I watched, quietly delighted, as nearly everyone nearby stared at Ava.

Her white gown was ruined.
A stain spread across it so vividly that it was impossible to ignore.
Ava looked down at herself.
Then she slowly lifted her eyes to Tala
Tala immediately put on an expression of horror.
“I’m so sorry, Luna Ava! I didn’t mean to.”
Her voice was dripping with fake remorse.

“Oh no, your white dress is completely stained.” Tala clasped her hands together. “It almost looks like blood. Maybe you should go home and change.”
“I’m really sorry, Luna Ava.”
Ava didn’t answer.
She simply stared at Tala.
Coldly.
I watched Tala’s confidence waver.
For just a second, fear flashed across her face.
Then she quickly lowered her head, preparing to disappear before Ava could react.
But Ava moved first.
Her foot landed on the edge of Tala’s long gown.
Rip.
The sound cut through the silence.
Tala froze.
The fabric tore from the waist.
A startled scream burst from her as she grabbed desperately at her dress.
My eyes widened.
For a second, I could barely believe what I was seeing.

Tala stared at Ava in shock before quickly trying to cover herself.
Then she ran.
“Sucks for her,” Runa muttered.
Tell me about it.

But as humiliating as that moment was for Tala, something else happened that made everything even
better.
Logan grabbed Ava’s arm and pulled her aside.
I moved close enough to hear them.
“Ava, what are you doing?”
His voice was low, but there was unmistakable urgency in his expression.
“This is the grand opening celebration for our new healers. How could you create a scene at such an
important event? Look at us now. Everyone is laughing at us.”
Ava’s gaze dropped briefly to his hand.
Her arm had reddened beneath his grip.
She yanked herself free.
“Everyone is laughing at us?” she repeated.
The coldness in her voice made Logan pause.
“Us? You have the nerve to even use that word?”
Then her eyes narrowed.
“And why weren’t you this angry when Tala threw the wine at me?”
“1…”
For once, Logan had absolutely nothing to say.
I almost smiled.
Ava had caught him.
But Logan quickly recovered.

“I’m just worried about the pack’s reputation,” he said, his voice noticeably softer. “You were the one who suggested recruiting new healers. If this creates a bad impression among the pack members, you’ll be the one who suffers for it.”
I rolled my eyes.
What a convenient excuse.
Ava let out a quiet, humorless laugh.
Then she simply turned away.
She walked out of the packhouse without another word.
Logan took two steps after her.
But I moved into his path.
“Let her go.”
He stopped.
I glanced toward Ava’s retreating figure.
“Her outfit is stained anyway. She probably needs to change.”
Logan didn’t answer.
He just stood there, staring after her.
I watched his expression carefully.
Then, slowly, I smiled.
Good.
Let them fight.
Let every argument carve another crack between them.
Because I would be there for every single one.
And if I had my way, I would keep pushing them toward each other until every bit of patience, trust, and affection between them was completely destroyed.
Until that bond they kept pretending was unbreakable finally shattered.
“…Yes, you’re right.”

Logan’s agreement was exactly what I wanted to hear.
A small smile touched my lips as I looked up at him.

“She always finds a way to cause more trouble,” he muttered, rubbing a hand over his head as though. Ava’s very existence had given him a headache.
I said nothing.
There was no need to.
Instead, I reached for a glass of wine from a passing servant and handed it to him. Logan accepted it with a grateful nod before his eyes swept over me.
“You look beautiful, Celine.”
Warmth spread across my cheeks.
“Thank you.”
I lifted my own glass, taking a small sip before slipping my arm through his. Together, we began
walking through the packhouse.
For once, everything was going exactly as it should.
I was beside Logan.
He was paying attention to me.
People were watching us.
Things were finally beginning to fall into place.
Then Ava returned.
Of course she did.
My steps slowed.
She had changed her clothes.
Now she wore a blue gown-simple, elegant, and almost identical in style to mine.
My fingers tightened around Logan’s arm.
Seriously?
She couldn’t even allow me one moment without finding a way to crawl back into the center of

attention.
The gown itself wasn’t particularly impressive. At least, that was what I told myself.
I thought it was hideous.
I wanted to think it was hideous.
But the way people turned toward her made irritation burn through my chest.
Their eyes followed her.
Some smiled.
Others openly stared.
As though Ava had descended from the heavens herself.
Idiots.

Within seconds, people began gathering around her, and I watched with growing disbelief as Ava
effortlessly became the center of attention again.
Beautiful.
The word slipped quietly from Logan’s lips.
My entire body stiffened.
I slowly turned toward him.
“What?”
Logan blinked as though he had only just realized he’d spoken aloud. His expression shifted immediately, and he shook his head.
“Nothing.”
Nothing.
My smile stayed in place, but it felt painfully tight.
Beside me, Runa gave a low, irritated growl.
She looks hideous.
Agreed.

Lforced myself to look away.
“I didn’t expect Ava to come back so quickly,” Logan said.
I rolled my eyes before requld stop myself.
My jaw tightened.
My blood is heating.
Because he was still staring.
He was trying to be subtle about it now, but I noticed every single glance.
Every time his attention drifted toward her.
He’s staring too much, Runa muttered.
Do something.
A slow smile spread across my face.
I already knew exactly what to do.
