Chapter 9
The studio fell into a dead, suffocating silence.
But the silence only lasted a few seconds.
The next motnent, Sarah let out a scream and rushed forward, trying to cover his mouth, yet Joshua
shoved her away hard.
“Joshua, are you insane? Do you know what you are saying?” Her voice almost cracked from the
strain.
Joshua ignored her. He reached into the inner pocket of his suit and pulled out a yellowed,
handwritten music sheet.
“This is Allison’s original handwritten score.”
“The handwriting can be authenticated, and the score back then was composed by Allison herself.”
“The one Sarah submitted for the competition was the one I helped her print.”
The entire audience erupted.
“Oh my god, so this is the truth!”
“Sarah is a fraud!”
“Joshua is no better! Total scumbag!”
A man stood up and shouted, “Alpha Joshua, did you betray Allison because you were cheating back
then?”
Joshua let out a bitter smile and nodded. “Yes.”
“I wronged Allison. I shattered the trust she had in me.”
“I made mistake after mistake. I destroyed her life with my own hands.”
Sarah completely broke down. She staggered back several steps, trembling all over.
“No… it is not like that…” she muttered, then suddenly raised her voice. “I did not!”
“I am sitting here as a judge today because of my own ability! I am not like Allison, sneaking around
like some sewer rat just to ruin a show!”
A low, steady voice drifted out from backstage. “Sewer rat?”
Adam walked out in a tailored suit, calm and collected as he stepped onto the stage.

“Allison is one of the most sought-after violin instructors in the world.” His voice was clear and firm. “Lady A.”
“She is the mystery judge for this program.”
“So who is the real rat stealing someone else’s work and parading around with it?”
The studio’s giant screen lit up. One set of information after another appeared.
They were the student profiles of the violinists I had trained overseas through the years.
Every name belonged to a top violinist in the international music scene.
The audience gasped.
“Oh my god, Lady A is actually Allison!”
“My idol! My favorite violinist was trained by Lady A!”
“Compared to her, Sarah is a joke!”
People stood up, looking at me with admiration.
Adam walked to my side and gently took my hand. “And more than that,” he said.
“She is my Luna.”
He turned toward Sarah, his expression turning cold. “You stole my Luna’s work and enjoyed her
spotlight for seven years.”
“It is time to return what you took.”
Sarah froze like she had just been stripped naked in front of the world. The next second, she
covered her face and fled the studio in a panic.
Behind her, the crowd booed and cursed. Joshua stood there motionless, his gaze heavy as he
looked at me.
“Allison, I am sorry,” he said again, his voice filled with bitterness.
Just then, his beta hurried onto the stage and handed him a report.
“Alpha Joshua, the paternity test results you asked for are ready.”
