Chapter 326 The Archive Attack
Lady Flourish POV
The message remained on the screen when we left the conference room.
“THE SECOND VESSEL WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO SURVIVE.”

I had read it enough times to remember every word, but I still couldn’t accept that someone had entered F–Tech’s isolated archive, accessed our recovered records, and replaced a file with that threat.
Whoever had done it knew about Amara. They knew about the medical facility. Most troubling of all, they had found a way into a system we had separated from our regular network.
Damian walked beside me as we returned to the main security floor.
His phone had barely stopped ringing since Rhys reported the breach. Dartwood security wanted instructions, Stonehedge had requested an explanation, and two senior members of F–Tech’s technical team were waiting for us.
My wolf kept her attention on the people we passed.
“Someone knew where to look,” she said.
I agreed, though I wished I knew who.
The doors opened, and we stepped into a room full of activity.
Cheryl stood at the central console, speaking to three security supervisors at once.
Two employees were checking identification badges while another team reviewed access logs. The normal office noise had disappeared.

Nobody was chatting beside the coffee machine, and the employees moving between departments carried their phones in their hands, ready to receive
instructions.
Cheryl spotted us and ended one of her calls.
“Good. You’re here.”
“What have you done?” I asked.
“Locked down the building, restricted access to sensitive departments, and suspended remote logins. Nobody can enter the archive floor without two security approvals.”
“Has anyone tried?”
“Three people. All had valid reasons to enter, but none had the required clearance after the lockdown began. They’re waiting for verification.”
Damian looked toward the security supervisors. “Have your wolves checked the
exits?”
“All of them,” Cheryl answered. “Our guards are working in pairs. We’re also checking scents against the staff register.”
I nodded. It was the right response.
A masked scent could make identification difficult, but our wolves could still detect unusual traces around doors, equipment, and the people who had passed through
restricted areas.
“Any sign the intruder is still inside?”
“Nothing confirmed.”

“Keep searching. Don’t assume the person left just because the footage shows an empty corridor”
Cheryl relayed the instruction.
I moved to the main console and examined the incident report. It listed the time of the breach, the camera interruption, and the files accessed.
Rhys had already sent over his findings, including the repeated use of the anonymous access number.
The report was incomplete, but one detail stood out.
“Where are the financial security logs?”
Cheryl brought them up.
I checked the account systems, payment records, client databases, and current contracts. Nothing appeared to have been touched.
There were no unauthorized transfers, no copied client lists, and no changes to F- Tech’s financial records.
“Check the corporate servers too,” I said. “Not just the archive.”
“We’re doing that now. So far, there’s no evidence of access.”
“What about employee records?”
“Only the archive entries connected to the medical facility have been altered.”
I looked at Damian.
He had been watching me read the report. His expression told me he had reached the same conclusion.

“This wasn’t a corporate theft,” he said.
“No.”

If someone wanted money, they had chosen a strange target. If they wanted control of F–Tech, they could have disrupted our contracts, copied confidential business information, or damaged the systems our clients depended on.
Instead, they had gone after my childhood.
Cheryl opened a second report.
“We compared the archive activity with the files recovered from Stonehedge. The intruder opened the old facility plans, the children’s medical records, the security footage, and the personnel list.
They also accessed the document containing the original designation of the second vessel.”
“Did they copy anything?”
“We can’t prove that yet. The system shows the files were opened, but the transfer logs have gaps.”
“Can you recover those?”
“Our technical team is working on it.”
I leaned closer to the screen. Several records had been accessed in sequence, suggesting the intruder already knew which documents mattered.
They hadn’t spent time browsing through unrelated files or searching for financial information.
They had gone straight to the records that connected Amara and me to the facility.

Who knew we had recovered this footage?” Damian asked.

“Everyone in the room when Rhys found it,” I replied. “The archive team, Cheryl, Eugene, and the people who received the initial security report.”
“And anyone who monitored our communications,” he added.
I hated that he was right.
For weeks, someone had tracked my movements and calls. We had discovered traces of surveillance, unexplained access attempts, and an enemy who seemed to know where we would go before we arrived.
Now they had reached a supposedly isolated archive.
“Review every person who received the report,” I told Cheryl. “Include anyone who forwarded it, downloaded it, or opened it through an authorized account.”
“Understood.”
“And don’t accuse anyone without evidence. If the breach came through an employee, I want to know how before we decide what to do.”
Cheryl gave me a brief nod and passed the order to her team.
An employee at the far console raised a hand.
“Director, we’ve completed the first comparison of the financial systems. No money was moved, and no corporate data was downloaded.”
“Thank you. Continue checking.”
He returned to his work.
I scanned the report again. The attack had left our business operations untouched.

Even the files unrelated to the medical facility were still intact.
Damian touched my elbow.
“Flourish.”
I looked at him.
“You don’t have to solve the whole thing in the next five minutes.”
“I know.”

But I wanted answers now. I wanted to know why my father had hidden Amara, why a medical facility had been erased from Stonehedge records, and why someone had gone to such lengths to make sure the second vessel’s existence remained a secret.
Cheryl brought up the final access summary.
The financial systems were clean. The corporate servers showed no confirmed theft. The only altered records were the ones connected to the old medical facility, my childhood, and the sister I had never known I had.
The attack had not targeted F–Tech’s money or corporate data. It had targeted the files connected to my childhood.
